Earth Made Flesh
Hard is it on earth With mighty whoredom Axe-time, sword-time Shields are sundered Wind-time, wolf-time 'ere the world falls Nor ever shall men Each other spare In fear quake all Who on Hel-roads are Yggdrasil shakes And shiver on high The ancient limbs And the giant is loose Bale and hatred I bring to the gods And their mead With venom I mix A place prepare for me A feast I fain wouldst see The mountains burst Earth burned with fire Break the seal (Adapted from the Poetic Edda)

Time again, exhaustion of the flesh Engorge the body, the streets run red Their horrible dancing, dauntless gaze Alluring rouse, join in, embrace Coming of age, you'll finally see The true meaning of the festivities Revere the role bestowed by the mask Complete each ritual occult task Later follow us to the eldritch lair See the ancestral ones, pale and fair Beyond the earth, unending vastness Scintillating ever-flowing darkness At midnight will it be revealed Who or what you've always been Finally suited to metamorphose Fortify the mind as body contorts Old features swapping with the mask The new appearance, grotesque and grand Shed the flesh, grow up into a man Thus the greater festival began (Inspired by Thomas Ligotti)

The colored pictures painted by life I see them only by gloomy twilights Like distorted shadows, cloudy and cold Hardly born, already defeated by death And since the mask fell from everything I see only death, disgrace and plagues Mankind's heroless tragedy A bad play, staged on graves and corpses This terrible dream-view disgusts me But a higher force wants me to stay A comedian who speaks his role Full of desperation and boredom Obscenely teeming mass Corruption of life and death Gyrating human mess An abomination (Partly adapted from Georg Trakl)

The one As chaos And egg I wot that I hung On the wind-tossed tree All of nights nine Wounded by the spear Bespoken myself to myself Upon that tree Of which none telleth From what roots it doth rise Neither horn they upheld Nor handed me bread I looked below me Aloud I cried Healing Wailing Transforming Devouring Sacrifice Transcending Dreaming itself And all The one As chaos And egg (Partly adapted from the Poetic Edda)
