Our hearts are forged of iron Our souls made of steel At the altar of Heavy Metal we kneel Posers face our anger Fear our heavy sound By the oath of pentagram we are bound Cities left in ruins Fallen before the might Of Black Heavy Metal that rules the night BLACK HEAVY METAL - bow and kneel BLACK HEAVY METAL - before the throne of steel BLACK HEAVY METAL - Satan sent To reign until the end Our horde ever-growing The source of our pride Brothers and sisters whom Metal unites You said you wanted music Shunned by the trendy and the weak We are traditional but unique Though the times are changing Our sound will remain the same Metal forever! - can't take it away The Harbingers of Wizzard Are the harbingers of Metal Together we will never fall

Come absorb the fear in the eyes of the cat Evoke the evil powers for the attack Tonight in the empty church they'll take in their hand The course of history in the highlands A grave in the holy ground was robbed Arms and legs and genitals cut off Tied onto the cat's paws the sacrifice was complete Off the pier they threw it into the North Sea A storm was raised, the sky went pitch-black The winds they howled, a ship was wrecked In the eye of the storm the vessel of the king Plowed through the foamy waves under evil wings Yet by a miracle the vessel made it to the port Persecution began - the witches had to be caught After weeks of torment the first four ones were killed But the king's lust for blood had not been fulfilled

The slow beats of the heart Echoes from the past in my round-the-clock nightmares Though I see disbelief in the faces of the men in white I know they are real As long as I remember I had hated him The old goat, the black sheep of my kin At nights I used to watch him in his sleep Dreaming of the sleep lasting eternally As much as I hated his words and his deeds For long I dared to do nothing but dream Yet in the late hours of that night I sneaked into his bedroom with murder in my eyes And I stabbed him over and over again Till I bathed in his stinking blood I hid his dismembered corpse Into a small hole under the floor I had been thorough so I could never be caught So I remained calm when the police came to my door I asked them in for a cup of tea Those chattering fools, they never suspected me That sound... what on earth is it? It seems to be coming from... below the floor The pounding sound... as if there was... a heart beating! Oh my god, this is going to be my end Though every beat was louder than the one before The police kept on chatting as if they had heard nothing at all Soon my whole universe was just a beating heart With my screams of panic collapsed my calm facade Revealed by the heart

Through the mist of dawn walked the belle of the ball Down the forest path towards home Riding the waves of delight after a passionate night Unaware of the eyes thirsting for blood A howl broke the silence The first soul fell as devil's prey Hearts filled with terror Doors barred tight Each time the sun set beneath the skyline The curse of Satan was lurking Somewhere in the night Watch out for the red eyes They might be staring at you! The origin of the curse remained unknown Doubts and fears tore apart minds Suspicious looks were exchanged all over the town Anyone could have been out killing on that night Again the moon was full Another soul fell as devil's prey Seven fullmoon nights plagued the town Every time the number of lacerated corpses grew On the eighth fullmoon night, however the town was as peaceful as ever But the neighbouring one faced a whole horde of hungry beasts! Howls broke the silence Yet another soul fell as devil's prey

Under the sign of evil I was born A harbinger of Metal and steel To this world These nights my star is shining High above the city lights For me it's Metal or nothing Metal is my life I've got all I need A Metal heart and balls of steel Soul of a devil - wild and free I've grown Soul of a devil - my instincts lead me wherever I go Soul of a devil - there ain't no rules I'd have to obey Soul of a devil - the Metal Law the only way I've been to Hell and back I've sat on Satan's throne Baptised in fire and steel I've sworn the oath Forever to play my Metal Not to care what the people say The heavier and louder the better Staying true to myself I can never fail I've got the soul of a devil

Across the plains they had roamed Through the woods and cities they had stormed Victory! Victory! In every battle they fought Corpses of enemy soldiers, wives, and children Burnt together with the ruins of the land With the blazons on their helmets the fear died away In their hearts yet it bloomed in the ones of the enemies The blazon had become symbolic of an unstoppable force That follows the flag of the emperor all the way until victory or death Invincible they marched Through the burnt land Victory seemed to be tight In their iron hand Until the dawn of winter Every battle had been won The flag flew proud under the eastern sun When the first snow fell on the streets The final battle was at hand Thunder! Lightning! Cannons grinded the ground The blood of the comrade on the snow The fall of the imagined divinity Limbs frozen they fought in the icy inferno Yet the enemy had awoken from its winter sleep Though enemies fell in herds their numbers seemed to grow The duty was to fight till the last breath - to never retreat Persistent they fought In the burnt land Victory had fallen From their iron hand After the dawn of winter No more battles were won The flag hung torn under the eastern sun By the last dawn thousands and thousands laid dead on the snow Caught by enemy bullets, hunger, or cold The distant dreams of victory had bled on the ruined streets Shattered like the thousands of frozen tears Abandoned they fell In the burnt land Victory had fallen From their iron hand After the dawn of winter No more battles were won The flag buried in snow under the eastern sun

Brothers, they have come to seize us With charges of heresy The words of a traitor Have unveiled our secrecy It seems to have meant him nothing That for centuries for the faith We have fought in the Holy Land The king must have gone insane The lure of treasures and land Led the king and the pope To betray the ones that had stood by their thrones The Knights of the Temple In the dark about their fates In the dungeons cursing this unlucky day Brothers, I can't believe this The Holy Father must come and save us soon This is all a misunderstanding I swear the traitor will face his doom We shall not abandon one another Nor our Grandmaster de Molay With hearts pure and strong The false accusations are bound be wiped away

Relieve your burden by confessing your sins We, the Holy Inquisition are the heavenly court on earth We shall never tell you the lies that you want to hear You will tell us the truth so save yourselves From the pain that you will soon face We shall never tell you the lies that you want to hear The first ones were tortured The others watched the brothers scream Broken bones, exploding finger tips And a brother's burnt off feet For weeks they rot in the dungeons Tormented and starved One by one confessing to heresy They told stories of having kissed the goat Having spat on the cross and practised sodomy They dishonoured their brothers and themselves Now it has been proven that your order is evil And guilty as charged to all those deadly sins What we said we said only to stop the torture Do not lie anymore your confession is final Reverse it and you will face a death at the stake What we said we said only to stop the torture So 54 Templars reversed Their false confessions Though they had sealed their fates Under horrible torture There were doubts about the truthfulness of the accusations in the papal commission Some members were even thinking about dismissing the charges due to lack of evidence Would these Templars have the chance to speak out... The worried king had to find a way to stop them The new Archbishop, a king's relative sent his forces to quietly capture the Templars... In order to burn them at the stake as relapsed heretics! 54 stakes stood in a row 54 Ternplars marched to their deaths Roasting flesh, screaming families Not one brother saved his life by confessing again The honour of the order was worth dying for

Through the flames had drowned the voices of the defending knights The rumours of innocence stayed persistently alive The pope and the king still driven by their greed blood-stained Sought to abolish the order by seizing de Molay A small island on the river Seine The Notre Dame glanced at a stand with two stakes The Grandmaster and his companion Were to face a slow death at the stake Their villains saw to the best discretion Only few people believed the malicious claims Bound in chains the proud old man climbed up to the stand Followed to a horrid death by an old friend With a firm and clear voice he retracted his confession Telling there was a conspiracy behind the accusations Again in the Paris air The stench of roasting Templar flesh The flames were made to burn slowly To enhance the agony of their death At his very last moment Turned de Molay to the king and the pope "Within a year you will pay for your crime within a year you will burn in Hell"
