Bartholomew was flayed for the sake of Jesus' name His body torn limb from limb skin from bone Beaten senseless for what he Believed in His name lives on through our great commission He traveled far to reach the unreached The most barbarous country of the east Unbelievers gathered for the brutal sacrifice Enduring the agonizing torture his skin was stripped and pulled Open sores bleeding profusely as He suffers for the kingdom His blood poured out before his eyes as the life drained from his vessel As he breathed his last breath He prepared to lose his head Decapitated For the glory of heaven Bones Crushed Nerves Severed At the core Open sores bleeding profusely as He suffers for the sake of the kingdom His blood poured out before his very eyes as the life drained from his earthly vessel Decapitated For the glory of heaven
