The End of Noise
Rain of noise Ending for a story of a life spent afraid Of here and there The everywhere Far and near The here and now Walls speak, will you? The tide comes in And now he wonders if his words in the sand Will be there in the morning It's hard to see the markings three Sign spelled out in case by chance Someone might see Fear of light Free at night A want for solitude as long as he’s alright An open book But not the look Tear of youth behind its ash A spent match Book of life Years of strife Fading fast behind the candlelight He wants to go back home He wants to be alone The door isn't closed The walls only know his noise The bird outside its cage wants in The sky is falling ontop his head A message left there only for the sea, gone Yet through these walls one cannot see If the sky touches the ground If the world comes crashing down With one eye closed I see half my woes Tide goes out And he sees his words are lost to the waves Into the open ocean A fear in his mind It's not all left behind The walls of self-imprisonment All telling Book of life Years of strife Fading fast behind the candlelight And now he is back home And now he is alone The door has closed Now he’ll never know Noise
