AUTUMNAL SUNRISE Words and Music by Charles J.D. Hickey V1: It was the dawn of a very hard day When sadness had taken my joyness away I thought of the hurt and pain deep inside The tears on my face I could no longer hide The weather was harsh and wind blowing cold I needed some rest so my body had told As I turned to my right and much my surprise In radiant splendor across northern skies C: The rising is calling, It’s asking for me The rising is calling, I can not flee The rising is calling, It’s asking for me The rising is calling, of who I’m to be V2: I looked for the day when this journey would end Reflecting upon all the time I did spend Arduous steps from way back at the start Felt like an oxen that’s pulling a cart The burden was strong, breaking my will I yearend for the strength to move forward still Placing my faith in that my heart was still pure Just like a sunrise that is evermore B: (by Tracy K. DeMarco) I looked all day and night, that I might find you All the fields of golden light, that I - mired through Burdened, breaking - how little I knew Solemn now in my retreat, eyes too tired to rise

CAST IN AMBER Words and Music by Charles J.D. Hickey V1: The mirror opposes my pensive stare Refracting the appearance in repulsive glare Reminiscences flood to the front of my mind Visions I labored to leave behind PC1: Stranger I am To all that I know All the while my hatred does Hardens my heart Blackens my soul Exiles me with no place to Go and recall The life that I shared Many the faces of people who Cared for me now At the end of my days I ask you to forgive and now I say C: So write the pages of history Paint the picture in a tapestry With a million of souls it would be hard to see To pay a tribute to my memory Recite the prayer for those who pass Perform the rite for a soul to last Then my name shall prevail from obscurity CAST IN AMBER for all eternity V2: Wrought with guilt I look to absolve All the wrongs I failed to solve Often dwelled on how different I’d be If I allowed my spirit to be free PC2: The lands I traversed To find a home Oblivious to all I had Roamed every day, At times by the hour Turned to the light to find it’s fierce Power to gain The courage I need Dream of the age to live and be Free of my shame Free from my hell I ask you of now remember
