At the Edge of the Loch
From a gate we enter; from a gate we depart. Quartz to stone, a mark on the cliffs; casting their shadow on the water below. From a gate we enter; from a gate we depart. From a gate we are set on the path. A moment from time impressed into stone; what do I leave behind? Destined to sit below scattered patches of yarrow, you are at my side always, as I with you. Stepping into the hollowed tree. You drift down the stream, I wave to you as you turn the bend.

By the power of the winds that guide us and the sapling’s strength to survive, fear has not a home here. Courage and strength will not wilt. By the power of the winds that guide us, by the songs of birds. I won’t let you fade, the light has not decayed. I won’t let you fade, the path is not inlaid. The soil restored to support life; the gentleness a clover of the prairie holds. I won’t let you fade, the light has not decayed. I won’t let you fade, the path is not inlaid. With your nurturing hand, you’re redeeming what has been lost. The cottonwoods will always smile on you. By the power of the winds that guide us, by the songs of birds. I won’t let you fade, the light has not decayed. I won’t let you fade, the path is not inlaid

After the pine has died, after all our lives; the sun is still aglow. We wait by our home where the water flows, you have not to be alone. We are of the mound, can you hear the sound of your love running to you inbound. In your eyes I’ve left off the shore to the wind. But I am next to you as a flower on the ground

Seillean, how is the path of passing revealed? The body is now just a winter. To become illuminated once again. Water flows from the hills to fill a pond ran dry, over a summer the water is pulled away. The waves approached this shore for an eternity before you. The breac will still swim after this journey. We always exist for all time. The fire still burns The end of thirst The light returns The spirit endures

At the edge of the loch, awoken at dawn; you are no longer lost, the ice has thawed. The dreams have lifted, the heart is mended. The fears that consume, they dissolve with truth. The heat on our necks, the sun has not yet set. The sound of wings overhead. Over trees to nest. Beyond this beinn, as far as we can see, iolaire rests its eyes to fall asleep. Careful steps I take to the last gate. With you, it is embraced. Together we will one day take a new shape.
