Trapped in the dark The impenetrable blackness Cold as the cosmic void The sunken city lies dead Trapped for aeons unending In ancient depths, unknown, unseen In this cenotaph drenched in horror The sunken city lies interred They came for me at night To feast on my tormented soul Afflicted through torture and terror This aching will never go away Only fear is present here And I know There is no escape from this living nightmare This misery never loosens its frightful grasp There is but one solution to freedom devoid of pain A final absolution through cessation And now I die defeated Set free by the flames Smothered in poisonous asphyxiation Ahead I see no light But in this blackest night All pain reaches its end I awake, engulfed by fire Inhaling the smog of the sulphurous flame Climbing through ruinous devastation To escape… The weight of the world Crushing down upon me Shattering bones and being This aching will never end Trapped in the dark The cosmic void These unending depths There is no escape The weight of the world In this burning entombment There is no escape This pain will never end

Under mooncast shadows and shining stars … we do not sleep Now before the heaving vastness of unbroken blue … I might find eternal sleep And with these words, I surrender And bid you farewell In these tumbling waters unending Our hardships end at last And with these wails of lament A mournful song for our suffering The losses we endured for so long In endless agonizing pain And with these cries of grief I’m overcome with regret Unbearable, overwhelming Take me from this hopeless, barren place And through this final departure I leave this mortal shell No longer in struggle, no further in doubt An awakening to peaceful death And with these final tears My torment has ended I embrace my final journey Towards the stars In the twilight despair is all around us … there is no peace Under mooncast shadows and shining stars … we do not sleep I long for this life to end here … one final release Now before the heaving vastness of blue … I might find eternal sleep
