Bitter Sweet the... Suffering
I stare into oblivion And wish that I was there. In my dreams we never parted, you never left me broken-hearted. Spurned by you my love betrayed, hurt, dejected and dismayed Ribs of ice cage my heart since you tore our love apart. Sorrow-filled, I reminisce, how my life came to this. Devastated you left me, my loneliness is agony. Left me to this SUFFERING, in my sadness I begin… …to stare into oblivion and wish that I was there. You never meant to cause me pain, or so you said so please explain, how your oaths of love for me ended with my misery. I’ll nevermore know your embrace or gaze with loving at your face. All I have are my memories, tarnished by later discoveries. Love’s loss is hate’s gain Compassion turns to pain Wasted years drowned in tears Life torn apart so I start… …to stare into oblivion and wish that I was there. My existence is now meaningless, this torment too harsh to express. Pathetic fantasies of what I should have done, my eyes now locked into oblivion. These are my emotions which with you now I share You’ve heard the words I’ve spoken but still you do not care.

Blood pumps, rhythmic pulse Encased within my loving host Serenity shattered, torn from the womb Pitiful screams, bloodstained I’m born Depression the foundation on which life is built, Innocent childhood laughter, now tears of adult guilt Passion for life; impossible to maintain When every emotion leads to pain. Eyes once bright with the joys of youth Now red-rimmed scarred by truth The burden of existence persists Bowed, near broken, misery kissed I look within seeking peace A place of solace, my pain to cease But there’s no escape from self torment The ceaseless depressive descent. My soul consumed by black bile my heart unable to reconcile. Happiness is impossible to find When melancholia swamps my mind. Delving deep within my mind, abnormal introspection Alone inside my head, depressive reflection Solitary soul, from company I recoil Involuntary reclusive in mental turmoil A morbidity of the spirits permeates my life I can’t predict a future unfettered by this strife Negative emotions prevalent in me Birth’s descent into melancholy.

Can’t you see? Religion is fallacy Worship with me the god I decree He is the void; silence & invisibility So bow your head and worship with me Pray to the god of nothing For he shall deliver He shall provide you with naught So become a believer From nothing I come, With nothing I was born & when I die there’s nothing left, so to nothing I am sworn hollow words to an empty god I don’t waste my breath I simply pray for nothing I am not bereft Our father who aren’t in heaven Hollow be thy name Naught shall be done By you to no one No one reveres your name I don’t begrudge you your beliefs I only pity you Governed by a religious code In everything you do Re-incarnation; a higher state of being Or some heaven is your goal Forget these foundless dreams And let nothing claim your soul.

Study your life and you’ll see what has come to be. It’s a waste, fucking disgrace of mortality. Don’t you sometimes wish that you didn’t exist? Despair, anguish; it must get better than this! Happiness is just not meant to be, be like me, revel in your misery, accept your sadness with dignity, the fate of all humanity. You are to blame, for your own pain. Life makes no sense. Worthless existence. Embrace life in it’s futility. Numbing core of nullity Life burdened by stress. Existences worthlessness Why waste your time? Pointless struggling to achieve; the views much better down on your knees, looking up at impossible dreams no-one wants to hear your screams. Lower your voice to a pitiful whine, wear with pride the yellow down your spine. Of your heart create a void, accept defeat or be destroyed Rejoice in your sorrow Another bleak tomorrow Bask in exquisite misery Accept no sympathy Bitter sweet the SUFFERING Crush the dreams to which you cling Destined for a pitiful fate You wallow in your own self hate.

I never wanted to hope again I never meant to care The depths of these emotions I found too hard to bear I didn’t dare to dream again I didn’t dare to hope To open my heart to love again I knew I could not cope I didn’t want life drawn back Into my cold unfeeling heart Love kindled, dreams shaped Only to be torn apart Then I wanted to feel again Recover emotions I’d long forgot I tried with all my hollow heart But found that I could not
