After crossing the Parnassus cliff Three old strangers reached the Castalian Spring In its waters they could quench their thirst Before reaching the temple on the hill Summer solstice under Delphi's sky Seven sages in ecstasy divine Giving answers men won't understand While their old world's getting covered in sand Where's the woman all dressed in pale white Speaking Dorian and prosing in rhymes? I woke up today To everything colored in black I rubbed my eyes But still all the colors were not coming back I walked out of the room Stepping on black grass Black birds They were singing my name A hundred thousand shades of black Have painted this dark Earth While the spring is coming back Black flowers spread their scent But in the distance there's a light A flickering warm white The sky above it is all blue I understand it's you And then I ran I left a black river behind Making my way Through the undеrgrowth under a black rain When you left mе alone All colors have left my soul One by one Till black ruled my world A hundred thousand shades of black Have painted this dark Earth While the spring is coming back Black flowers spread their scent But in the distance there's a light A flickering warm white The sky above it is all blue I understand it's you It's you I know it's you If you'd wait there, I'm coming for you I'd fly if I could Would you help me to bring back the light? Where have the years gone? How did they go away so fast? So many memories I recall They won't come back They feel so lost in time Fading away in black and white Fragments of something I could dream Pictures of me He was a young boy, the world was in his hands He only wanted to ride his bike again They were supposed to be his friends for life Why do things have to change so much with time?
