Ascension
Surrounded by dirt. The dirt that makes trees grow, that gives life to the shadows, now shutters the bones. Scorching brain, judgement drained. Melting words disappear and no one can hear. Weakened self, bear this chest pain. Unveiled dreams, take the sorrows away. And so the living feed on the flesh, rotting beneath this moldiness. Stalling moves take away the time, looping thoughts devour the will. Who am I? Solitude is a trickster and I am the fool. Sinister is her company Για τον άδειο νου. Shame on the underfed, lack of strength. Shaking body, dizzy head on the verge of madness. Steps of an infant, crawling thoughts. Nursing cry, mumbling words. And so the living feed on the flesh, rotting beneath this moldiness. Stalling moves take away the time, looping thoughts devour the will. Who am I? Still, skin between the roots can’t stop the shivers. Silence feeds poison through vein, moist ground from rain. Still, skin between the roots can’t stop the shivers. Silence feeds poison through vein, moist ground from rain. Lift the weight, I can no more wait. I’m not brave, drag me out of this grave. Reeks inhale, standing water’s veil. Fingers pale, feeling mentally frail. Lifeless stare, not a tear is left. Eyes got blurred, and the screams no one heard. Cold and scared, time to make amends. Overwhelmed, will I finally rest?

Sharp stones have led me here At the summit of suffering Carrying this devastating existence so long Through muddy silence, steep endeavors Blood on stricken hands is finally drying Yet drops on my skin terrify me And I fear the end is near. Luminous clouds now swiftly reaching in Rumbling! Pouring raindrops cold as ice Casting terror with all might Spreading shadows like the night. I look around me and lifeless fall the trees As I seek shelter before the mountains light up Barefoot I run through the woods Branches tweak as forest beasts go silent. The clouds’ light flickers while wind whispers It’s coming for you (Have mercy please) Pray for your life for mighty world of skies upon you is unleased (No!) Let the melody of thunder pierce your bones tonight for you’ll find eternal peace Wind is it death that comes for me. The lake afar now drowned I hear the dreadful sound of thunder Piercing my skin like thousand thorns And I fall. Chained to the ground by broken bones Demise traversing through my spine Yet suddenly I feel this change in me Is this death or revenge? A force burning through my ribcage Steadily reaching my fingertips Flaming stare nailed at skies above And I can’t look away as I did before Shaking but with no fear no more As earth trembles beneath my feet I finally stand daring to confront And I realize as anguish turns to rampage The calamity is me. Clouds’ light flickers while wind whispers There’s no hope for you (I’ve had enough) Pray for your life for mighty world of skies upon you is unleased. I’ve plead on my knees a thousand times So skies I dare you, touch me once more But I vow to life you’ll crumble down. Skies your song of death my spirit cannot hear so electrify my heart! But tonight I’m burning kingdoms of the sky to ash.
