The Beast
The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of Christ." And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God. "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of Christ, he will reign, for ever and ever." "We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign.” “The nations were angry; and your wrath has come. The time has come for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your saints and those who reverence your name." "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of Christ, he will reign, for ever and ever." God's temple in heaven was opened. And there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake, a great hailstorm.

Out of the temple they come. Seven angels dressed in shining linen. Receiving the golden bowls filled with the wrath of God. The first angel poured out his bowl on the land and ugly, painful sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, it turned into blood, and all the creatures in it died. The third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs, and they became blood. The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun scorched the people with fire. They were seared by intense heat and they cursed the name of God. The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, whose kingdom was plunged into darkness. Men gnawed their tongues in agony and cursed the God of heaven. I heard the angel in charge of the waters say, "You’re just in these judgments and you have given them blood to drink as they deserve, for they have shed the blood of your saints and prophets." "Yes, Lord God Almighty, true and just are your judgments. Yes, Lord God Almighty, true and just are your judgments." But they refused to repent of what they had done, but they refused to repent and glorify him. "Behold, I come like a thief! Blessed is he who stays awake." Out of the temple they come. Seven angels dressed in shining linen. Receiving the golden bowls filled with the wrath of God. The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the Euphrates, it’s water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East. Then I saw three evil spirits coming out of the dragon’s mouth, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. They go out to the kings of the world, to gather them together to Armageddon! The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and from the throne came a loud voice, saying, "It is done!" Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. Every island fled away, mountains could not be found, from the sky fell huge hailstones of about a hundred pounds! Blessed is he who stays awake."

I saw an angel coming down from heaven. He had great authority, and the earth was illuminated by his splendor. With a mighty voice he shouted, "Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great! She has become a home for demons and a haunt for every evil spirit. For all the nations have drunk the maddening wine of her adulteries. The kings of the earth committed adultery with her, and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries." "Fallen is Babylon! Fallen is Babylon!" Then a mighty angel picked up a boulder the size of a large millstone and threw it into the sea, and said, "With such violence the great city of Babylon will be thrown down, never to be found again. The music of harpists and musicians, will never be heard in you again. No workman of any trade will ever be found in you again. The sound of a millstone will never be heard in you again. The light of a lamp will never shine in you again. The voice of bridegroom and bride will never be heard in you again." "Fallen is Babylon! Fallen is Babylon!" "Salvation and glory and power belong to our God, for true and just are his judgments. He has condemned the great prostitute who corrupted the earth by her adulteries. Hallelujah! The smoke from her goes up for ever and ever."

Then I saw another angel flying in midair, he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to every nation, every tribe, language and people. He said in a loud voice, "Fear God, the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water." "Fear God, fear God, fear God, and give him glory! Fear God, fear God, fear God, and give him glory! Fear God, fear God, fear God, and give him glory! Fear God, fear God, fear God, and give him glory!" Another angel followed and said in a loud voice, "If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, he, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and the Lamb. The smoke of their torment rises for ever for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name." "Fear God, fear God, fear God, and give him glory! Fear God, fear God, fear God, and give him glory! Fear God, fear God, fear God, and give him glory! Fear God, fear God, fear God, and give him glory!" This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God’s commandments and remain faithful to Jesus. "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on." "Yes," says the Spirit, "they will rest from their labor for their deeds will follow them."
