Golden Shroud
Fuck. How will we ever stop it now? How? Fuck. How will we ever stop it now? Now! How, how can we ever comprehend What part we play until the end? How? How? How can we ever stop it now? Can it be we are free When we'll soon cease to be? And how can we cure this hopeless case of mortality That's been with us since infancy? How? Higher. Higher One pink one big one small one Two white ones and a red One shot of silver water Brew until green to steep Boil up the earth Orange and blue, orange and blue Higher, more, higher Get ulcers for your trouble Get money for your time Get trouble for your pride I haven't got one shred of strength left in me to lie Higher, more, higher Pick shoots and roots from the ground Earth will provide for our harvest Fresh and bountiful, ripe raw and bitter If we turn our tools to the ground And till the silt we've made We may stay here for a life time To see it degrade We are fever on The Mother's brow And she will perspire And its turning us in on each other Frustration is spreading Curl up and pray for silence Clutch at your organs Short waves of sunny ecstasy Sure sign of darkness When there is an amnesty For our ignorance Our reward will be compassion And glimmering consciousness

Hold on to it tight, instil it in you deep Hold on to it tight, grit down with your teeth And don't let it slip when it troubles your sleep It's the only real thing you've been given to keep Or just hold out your hands and bow to receive Silence your heart beat and it will leave you For those who'll fight with me, I say; Though there might be anguish and torment It's not over (it's not), not yet over (over) Look up! Golden light! Time, the horror enshrouds us Time, the mould, grows Harmony will rise, all here will rise Dying can live inside the horrors that meld Now joy will come to us all How? Get out now! Joy will come for us all Our dark hour is time Make the blood run red red red Make the blood run bright red When all has been said said said Lock the door to your head Make the blood run red red red Make the blood run bright red Bright red bright red bright red All our Countrymen are gagged How will we ever know What is truth among the fiction? Justice comes slow Waves of grief are all-engulfing So pick up your words and throw How can we know what is helping Just carry on in the show All our eyes up, all our eyes up Looking for thee Golden Light Knowledge is but relative But it makes us worry so Learned, rich or powerful Our frailty is going to show The end felt like a myth before But now I can feel it near And if we don't go under I will be seeing you all on the pier It was there all along All along Are you seeing crows where there aren't any crows And the flash of the fox as he roams And the beasts stretching up with their necks As they feed in the trees and the sparrows underfoot In the reeds Are you hearing owls in the middle of the day And the brook as it babbles on it's way As the pine seems to bow with a gesturing hand To the Wagtails nesting in a whole in the sand You can read it, learn it, pick it up But you can't begin to... All is lost and broken pick it up Breath some heart back in Seven is heaven Eight is hell Nine is the devil in his ain' sel'!

Growing scarred. Soft heads we have, soft arms too All tribal ways are lost, my nomadic adventurers Turn around and look: all ares we have are graceless Hold up ever part of life Tare and rip it with your teeth Until it's a broken bleeding feast Until it lies in waste in the field Make it yield. Sap it dry. Crush it up and stab and tare Carve it's bones bare And then we might remember why we are here We are just visitors among the shades of green High in thе shades of green Brought together by sound and all of it's hеart Together we're bound, never to part Taught by it's touching welt It's welting touch And there's nothing that hurts quite so much Perhaps to know why we're here We'll have to leave It might then be too late to reappear "Hold you're line", he said" "Hold your nerve" "Dignity", he said; "Don't you run", run far We can build a shield of our own bodies Pile them high! Lowing. Peace shall not Come for a barren hand shake But joy can conquer If for this hour Stand up, be whole now As if we know how Put your hands high One whisper turns into thunder Our ribs will open Spew forth dimensions Of sound, vibrations When you give us hope
