Seven Minutes From Sunset
I have barely stopped the wounds I have from bleeding And I'm going back to battle once again My skin is thickened from the unrelenting beatings And on more of them I know I can depend Thinking many steps ahead Trying to read your mind There's a nagging and persistent sense of fatalism My failure's all but guaranteed Still I rally in defense of my position Hoping that with luck I might succeed Can I anticipate what's coming Enough to save me? (x2) Dies have been cast Outcomes preordained Still I count it down Seven minutes from sunset Head to the breach The dead will fill the wall Just one more day Seven minutes from sunset

Leaden skies portend the storm is gathering Thickening air grows dense and blocks the sun Kinetic lightning biding its time Something's about to strike No way to outrun what is to come I hear the whispers of my enemies Warning me I won't survive the storm Driving rain unsettles what was static Searing wind disrupts the status quo Monuments come tumbling down And expectations die And those who held them are the last to know I can hear the devil whisper That I won't withstand the storm You say that I won't survive But once it's passed you will recognize I'm the only one remaining You don't understand I am the storm I can hear the voice of reason I can hear the voice of doubt Telling me I won't survive Time to shut the voices out You say that I won't survive But once it's passed you will recognize I'm the only one remaining You don't understand I am the storm
