Was it a dream? Deep in the lands of the underkingdom Where the spirit of darkness reigns The magical tower of the Ebonlake Where all knowledge is cast in flame Into shadows we ride No manner of creature can stand against us Open the doors of arcane spell Far from the roads And the comforts of home To the promise of gold and the glory of the sword Where the truth of magic Shines ever on That is where we'll go, we'll go Guarded by servants, faithful deterrents Whisperechoes through halls reclaimed Spirits and stories of the dragon flame Tales of what once became Is there hope for us all? Unbound, no longer left to fend off in their nightmares Profound, the silence of the stream Renowned, the prophet and his demons peddling affairs Uncrowned, the virtue of the gods Suspended dreams anchored in name Into the fire Increase the agony you face Feast on desire Requiem of the damned Where the shadows walk We know the mirror falls They demand, that we stand Where the pious fall Into the mouth of death You'll feel their ancient wrath Traced back to the first of the line of men Behold, rituals of the children by the gallows Blindfold, the nine of eight will walk Withhold, the spirit of what mankind prowls the night for Foretold, the revenant of the flock Bow Unbelievers Tormented we walk Requiem of the damned Where the shadows walk We know the mirror falls They demand, that we stand Where the pious fall Into the mouth of death You'll feel their ancient wrath Traced back to lines of men And lo, into the unknown Where shadow & steel meet again Tormented eyes of dread Beckon us ahead Below, the voice of undeath A spiralling soul might ascend Churning out what must be fed Ever till the end And though, where hope may be led A voice echoes far from the past Drifting far ashore towards The everlasting flame Astride, the twilight remains Awaken the god of the damned Bound by oath and ancient thread We mourn what hope has bled Requiem, by command When the shadows talk Forlorn by our own hand We demand, reprimand That the pious fall Into the jaws of death Too broken to withstand And so it ends With requiem and lament
