A Storm of flames, it burnt thou to ashes And the blade’s kiss opened thy skin Plant me in your flesh, Immerse me in your blood Let the pain prevail! The suffering is great! Darkness left the night behind And also fills the days Light is black Air, thick as fog Eyes that see no more Fingers grapping after shades And souls that await execution Or just for a single thing to happen Future’s of a stillborn kind Can’t find a way through the fog In that we’re shrouded With bare hands we try to Build up thrones But all we reap is emptiness The cold becomes our friend We’re sentenced to suffer From heaven there’s no salvation due Emptiness reigns Claims its dominion It’s dominion! Dead eyes staring back through the past of mine Memories remind me of what I created so long ago Shadows as cold as winter, the night falls in my heart Thousand thorns of silence stick in my throat Weird screams clang into the darkness Ice-cold chains cut my flesh, the creature stares in my eyes again On bleeding knees we crawl in here One by one, blood for blood, you will die by my hands tonight I’ve seen your face but was too blind to use my eyes Memories of good times, I feel them fading away Crystal clear voices in my head tell me how to die They’ll freeze my heaven and darken the sky Weird screams clang into the darkness Ice-cold chains cut my flesh, the creature stares in my eyes again On bleeding knees we crawl in here One by one, blood for blood, you will die by my hands tonight The sand is running, through my hands, the time is fading and memories Drown my eyes, an icy stream rises up in my veins, it feels so cold… I kneel down in front of shadows of my former self, with tears in my eyes And blood on my hands I’ll leave myself behind to die
