The quiet corners of The Garden Persist on calling my name The stranger walking to my left Has now shown his face The calling I receive resonates With promises of eternal blessings Exposed to possibilities anew, The finality of my days The weariness in body and thoughts The desire to venture beyond the realm of the living And thus I stand at the threshold and see These spaces beyond Where colourful shadows dwell Lightness which rests above All mundane dregs of conflict to discard Equilibrium beckons with peaceful abandon It pulls and reels in my earthly collections Ready to devour my life’s force The lights start to fade Do I deem myself worthy of the passage? In oblivion, I saw the meaning Of life unlived and unblessed And with a violent refusal I am poised to return With a new perspective on the shades Of earthly ebbs and flows The lights within, rearranged and purified “The depths are of infinite shades of the Darkened”
