The Ascent & The Hunger
I keep on crawling through the sand With the power of despair My dying horse lies far behind I'm crawling, and it's too late Had I a mother, I would have sold her all the same To get to see a new day It was not a mischief but a means to an end Oh can't you see? Under the blaze Into the eye of the storm where I stand Lost in the maze Chance is gone, I won't die by your hand I give in to the raging fire Right on the edge of doom Lull me, ö ruthless pyre For i am forsaken, and i'll dig up my grave alone Under the blaze Into the eye of the storm where I stand Lost in the maze Chance is gone, I won't die by your hand Barbarian butcher, don't you have someone else to blame? Men like us do not swear no oath Shan-E-Sorkh will be soon judging us as equals Your pride led us here Under the blaze Into the eye of the storm where I stand Lost in the maze Chance is gone, I won't die by your hand I give in to the raging fire Right on the edge of doom Lull me, ö ruthless pyre For i am forsaken, and i'll dig up my grave alone Under the blaze Into the eye of the storm where I stand Lost in the maze Chance is gone, I won't die by your hand Home! All I can think about is home!

Slicing flesh from the hellish ground Slash of shattered glass, bestial sounds Reflection of thy mortal sins Dragged to the abyss, you can’t win Demons - Gears full of spikes Tormenting the night Reaping your flesh all apart Terror - Soldiers of Hell Unleashed to conquer all Whipping and slicing alike Visions from piercing eyes Millions of cries Rise from the pit to the skies Cross the broken mirror Enter Satan’s Realm Hear - The cries of pain into the dark Helpless souls begging to die Driven - By your desires He shall arise Take back His throne in the sky Bringer - Of all the plagues Holder of light Savior of the humankind Find - All that has been Hidden from you Father! Enlighten my path Cross the broken mirror Enter Satan’s realm You can’t escape the dark truth you’ve been dying to find Chaos spreads its wings Brandishes its scythe Marching toward the last fight In eternal fire the unworthy shall be cleanse Satan! Have mercy on me Yesterday ignorant, deaf to your plea Now and for eternity i’ll let you comfort me Cross the broken mirror

The flame dies in her eye He takes a last glimpse at her To hold the strength to conquer He has become a matricide It's time The sorrow in his heart is aching The recall of a lullaby She will sing no more His arm On the guard of his sword is rising It shall never ever leave his side The supreme power, he can hold it The Son of the White Mare The one they call Treeshaker The highest peak, he could climb it The Son of the White Mare On his way to conquer The first born son can shape the stone From a swap of his hand The second son, he bends a metal As sharp as his will This time Instead of one they are three Onward to the underworld to defeat tyranny Their hearts They may not be as pure as they should be Yet the land from its chains must be freed Those are times of sorrow Those are times of rebirth From a single spark, his light will shine so bright Brighter and brighter, the sword rises and falls The echos of battle resounds in the halls Coloring that day that shall be remembered Three tremendous titans fall down to their knees From their usurped castles they give him the keys Behold! Here's comes the king, here comes the king, here comes the king, HERE COMES THE KING The old father among the wise He shall rule under the stars Not a ruler nor a king Treeshaker among his kind lives in peace Loved by all in his hall of silver and gold The supreme power, he can hold it The Son of the White Mare The one they call Treeshaker The highest peak, he could climb it The Son of the White Mare On his way to conquer

The day started so well Woken by the morning bell Yet something had to spoil it I can'r seem to find my meat Annoying It has run away One hour ago to the east Delaying my feast Gosh I'm so starving All things considered I'm in for some hunting The onions are chopped anyway Luckly I was careful To crush both of his knees The scent of blood makes me full Gives me direction through the wind Funny how sometimes They think they can escape When they ignore which hunger Tears me apart from within Come on now I'm very near He can't be far in his state In denial of fate What is it now? I sense his breath I know it won't be long, no 'Till I start to feel Ravenous, ravenous An ancient spirit, a curse That leads me on, that makes me become Ravenous, ravenous The power, the strength, the might How much alive I feel when I become Ravenous I am a messenger of Evil Roaming among the trees I you come along my path I'll be the last one you'll see Ravenous, ravenous An ancient spirit, a curse That leads me on, that makes me become Ravenous, ravenous The power, the strength, the might How much alive I feel when I become Ravenous Of all the messengers of Evil I am the most merciful If you behave well I will Free you from your misery

He dines alone in empty rooms with sweet bouquet of withered blooms His teeth long rotted to the root he sucks the pulp of bruised fruit Gone the bearing and the grace, sad sunken eyes and charnel face He'll dye his hair and paint his nails and rouge the cheeks that aging pales. Nosferatu, Nosferatu He sleeps the restless sleep of the undead Nosferatu, Nosferatu He sleeps the restless sleep of the undead And when he stands before the glass no reflection does he cast This vile disease that taints his line burns the fabric of his mind He writes accursed in his bed, the wretched sleep of the undead The slow parade of faded friends, the long dark sleep that never ends His great house weeps with rank decay, he walks by night and sleeps by day He'll rail the Reaper, curse him low, he who waits and mocks him so He writes accursed in his bed, the wretched sleep of the undead The slow parade of faded friends, the long dark sleep that never ends Nosferatu, Nosferatu He sleeps the restless sleep of the undead Nosferatu, Nosferatu He sleeps the restless sleep of the undead

There is a tomb on the east side of the At the end of the path, with rust on the edges Plastic flowers and funeral cries A breeze of death, freezing the fists Which tomb is yours? I recognize The golden features, adorning the sides Their glow has faded, but I can swear That your presence still greases the air City of worms, sharing the feast They're digging holes in your golden teeth You spent your life strangling the poor Now you are rotten to the core Some golden features for only friends An empty journey that came to an end There are many names that you go by: Ruler, trader, choke on your tie Power can consume A scavenger condemned to gloom How did some men come to ruin lives without shame? They called you master, now they curse your wicked name There is a tomb, on the east side of the At the end of the path, with rust on the edges Plastic flowers and funeral cries A breeze of death, freezing the fists Which tomb is yours? I recognize The golden features, adorning the sides Their glow has faded, but I can swear That your presence still greases the air Power can consume A scavenger condemned to gloom How did some men come to ruin lives without shame? They called you master, now they curse your wicked name From your greed, they're the slaves Take your gold into the grave Since you've passed, not a soul is stopping by They still recall the years of hunger But slowly, life is coloring their cheeks again And after silence come the laughters They speak about the graveyard's richest man Buried alive under his gold
