Another night on this slow motion country side Picked up my girl and we got on out for a ride Driving out into the night Getting away from the bright city light The pale moon was shining on us, shining down on us We took a ride, found us a place to park I heard a sound, someone was there in the dark I saw a flash and I turned around Something hit me and the stars whirled around I woke up in a cell behind bars Cell behind bars Feels like I’m Trapped under ice Let me out, take me away Trapped under ice What have I done to deserve this cell Closing walls, this is no better than hell Someone's coming maybe he can explain why I'm here It's my mother and she's looking at me in tears How could you do such a terrible crime? When night turns light to darkness The shadows creep under my skin I'm locked up behind those bars For my deeds and dreadful sins Demands me, Commands me They're inside my brain Demon voices fill my head Demands me, Commands me They drive me insane Oh god I wish that I was dead Inside the courtroom hall The judge and jury did agree That I was without no doubt Guilty of murder of the first degree Demands me, Commands me They sent me to die To die behind these prison walls Demands me, Commands me I hope I’ll then be free That my execution ends it all How could I know I did wrong?
