Unleashed from lingering in squalor Torn out spine of fading morality So long wasted in corporeality Could not dream a darker fate So loud the riotous departure of spirit So quiet the breathing out of oblivion

The cold wind of desperation stirs the weakened bones Of the sentient corpse you house The face you've known decayed to unrecognizable smear Of undefined, unsung despair Was I once whole? Indistinct from a body and soul grieving? Noxious taste, my lifesblood exiting Try to be reborn, bloodied at the foot of a pale new dawn Disdained as I am, I plea once again Believe in my will to reembody Return to the place we've called you before Defying hopes' last reserves Engulfed in pain, misguided by quaking fear We spill blood once more and call your name Lay offerings down and whisper Is he here?
