Stormscapes
Now that I've seen your face by heart, I look less at it's features than its darkening frame. Beyond a garden there in insulent ease, The lead and marble figures watch the show, Of yet another summer loathed to go. Now that I've heard your voice by heart, Whos emblems mix with the words that shake and bleed. Now that I've heard your voice by heart, In the black chords upon a dulling page. Now that know you heart by heart, I see I must spell out the storm. The beats too swift, the notes shift in the dark. Beyond a garden there where the long vine creeps, In silence in the setting sun, The lead and marble figures watch the show, Of yet another summer loathed to go.

The years upon the water with no sound It's not the porch of spirits lingering We live in an old chaos of the sun Or of dispondency of day and night Of the wide water Of that wide water - inescapable In isolation of the sky It is the grave of where she lay Now bereft and longing so Abandoned on the ground to have the lost be found I lean to love, which leaves me lean, till lean turns to lack When love like a frail shell lies broken that love must end It is the grave of where she lay now bereft and longing to travel where the sun has gone Thundering on the shore I shall not feel the rain, nor its nets of cold Abandoned on the ground to have the lost be found

One must have a mind of winter To regard the frost in the land of the wind. Calling me, the wolves that howl my name. The hunt begins on the plane. The embrace of the cold leaves you breathless and the frost shall burn. Now feel the northern winds - the northern winds blast. Weary of this lie we live. Fighting for a chance in this dying world. Speaking to the atmosphere, alone, I reach for something more. I fall into myself for no one is here. You sleep somewhere beyond the pain. Raise a glass to that light come full again. May the light come full again. Never to be free as Eden now sinks to grief. I bear witness - bear witness to the splintering. I know that I shall meet my fate somewhere among the clouds above. I've balanced all brought all to mind a waste of breath the years behind. And I myself have whitened in the weather. A smoldering immolation of the year. I fall into myself for no one is here. You sleep somewhere below the pain. Raise a glass to that light come full. Raise a glass to the light the white moon shines on high.
