Far in the north Lies the ancient sea There the crone of ice prowls the land They whose breath has departed Shall her join and wander forever They ride on the field of stars They journey through the stream Mortal flesh their soul departs But never the soil underneath When scorned rise shall the dead Prey they shall on the misfortuned ones And horror eternal cause You've heard the raven's crow Destruction has it borne Foul times are upon us These lands will turn to ash The lady of the north now here reigns Life vanishes from your limbs Your flower has withered Only cold moveless fluid in your veins The dour blissful scent of death Will forever loom over this land Only those in the know Can it perish from this soil As sure as those cursed ones Who kill the swan This earth shall face misfortune And face the gates of oblivion Ride on the bird's path Swim as swans on the river The icy ground thee devours Meet those whose souls are long gone

On a frozen mountainside, an old man stands and watches down At the world below him, and the rays of the rising Sun No past to bother him, no fear comes from within Just a breeze and the sparkling ice, in the light of the newborn Sun Cold winds forever blast these savage peaks of aeons past Black gravel, glacier, for more than the eye can see They were fools to try their hand, to conquer this frozen land Goddess shall not be ired, as soon shall we all it see Lined up like men of war Blaspheming at Heaven's door Sun ablaze like a wyvern's breath Ascending to certain death Burning desire Frozen in heart Flaming like pyre of preposterous art No grave but snow For those who will die Forever they'll be Betwixt the land and the sky Icy rain Infernal pain Lost in where dark spirits reign Avalanches roar, trembling one to bone And he's left all alone On a frozen mountainside, old man stands and watches down At the world below him, and the rays of the rising Sun His limbs have gone numb, his awareness is going down Just a breeze and the sparkling ice, and the light of the newborn Sun
