The walls whisper tales of days gone by Echoes of laughter and shadows cry Faded pictures in dust-covered frames Silent witnesses to share my pain Empty rooms, haunted by the past Ghosts of memories, they never last Time has worn this place so very thin Where love once was, now sorrow wins In this house of bitter memories Where joy has turned to agony I walk these halls, a stranger now A prisoner to the past somehow Echoes of footsteps, burdened with dread Whispers of secrets that were left unsaid Counting down the moments that remain In this house where grief holds sway Faded relics, voices in the gloom, Where this house stood, now grows a tomb, Every corner holds a piece of me Fragments of a broken history In this house of bitter memories Where joy has turned to agony I walk these halls, a stranger now A prisoner to the past somehow In this house of bitter memories

Why do we hide the wounds that took so much to bear Why do we hide the face that wallowed in despair Should we not hold them dear and sport them like a cross Remembrance of the strength when everything is lost In solace, there's no peace our hearts a hollow shell With burdens unconfessed, we linger in this hell The past a ghostly haunt, no future left to see In sorrow to prevail our grim eternity What of those who are gone, have they truly found peace Are they without their vice, do demons ever cease And what of those still left, like memories that remain How quickly they are lost, like sunshine in the rain In solace, there's no peace our hearts a hollow shell With burdens unconfessed, we linger in this hell The past a ghostly haunt, no future left to see In sorrow to prevail our grim eternity
