This accident registers in some pregnant women out of delivery, followed by a strickly strong hemorrhage. The one part dettached from the placenta looses all funtioning value, and if the extension of the phenomenon is enough, the fetus is found in risk of death. Systemic proliferative multicentric disease of unknown cause, clinically manifested by, the development of mucocutaneous nodules in a cephalo- caudal distribution, with decreasing amounts seen on the lower parts of the body and distinctive osteoarticular lesions.It evolves by bursts of progressive severity and regresses spontaneously. Usually leaving a crippling arthritis and disfiguring lesions. The histopathology is characteristic: dense mononuclear infiltrate with multinucleated cells. There's no consistent treatment for multicentric reticulohistiocytosis, some promissing results have been achieved with immunomodulatory agents.
