The grey autumnal sky Pales as the winds shake the trees The howl of the wolf brakes forth In the silence of a dead forgotten world The ghosts of Octobers long ago Circle above the hills in a ghastly swarm Vengeance take my eyes Here upon this desolate soil Use my tongue to sow the seeds of discord To spread our cry of war to the gates of heaven As these words echoed out across the dead earth It was revealed that victory was ours Into the glazed eyes of death I peered And as the blackness of the crypts now enshroud the earth And the chaos at the heart of all returns to its throne I know that the universe is eternal So shall we all perish in the frosts

As I stood upon the hill, I could see far away Across the dusty earth... beyond the mortals gazing below I stood at his feet and watched his suffering I tasted the tears he wept and the blood that was shed And as he died, I could see in his eyes that he indeed feared death He was interred I remained in the tomb Cradled his feeble head And took his soul Lord of thorns, saviour of none - Can you feel your life slip away? Turn your glassy eyes to the setting sun And mourn your kingdom's demise In the wilderness - your temptation, it was I The nails that held you high bore my name Your death was ordained by my infernal grace, And by your father you were forsaken Let my veil drape the skies! Unleash the darkness that is to come! A once great empire stood upon The shores of the vast Southern sea Her walls were torn from glory through shameless treachery Oh, spirits of battle, fallen, but not forgotten Your time has come again To arms and war to regain your kingdom's glory The ground thirsts for renewal of bonds How long can you thrive in their shadows Fear not to wield the sword Our blood burns with fires a century old Rise ye masters of war Up from the past we summon thee May the rivers run red with blood In centuries to come we'll remain The great kings in the South shall forever be Free! To rule again and conquer in courage's name Our day for renewal has come at last! Quietly we gather strength! Beneath you! All around you! We will bury you! It is not over! We have returned! Our empire is arisen! Consuming betrayal in fire A mighty force, gathered just beyond your gates After us there will be no others! On that day when darkness fell over my life And became the only thing in which I could believe I wandered wearily to the edge of the wilderness And, with contempt, I threw my soul to the wolves Reaping the harvest of my life's blood Sown from the most bitter seed The illusions that I once believed Were only ashes falling through my hands Lie down to die Under freshly fallen autumn leaves My will has been broken Shuddering at the colors Which paint my world (So bleak and dead to emotion) For what lies beyond this flickering existence - A crown of stars? - - An eternal life? - Perhaps dissolution into the element from which I came When the cold wind of the night blows And its chill penetrates your skin Know that I am forever moving through you Therein lies my heart (at the core of the dark) Blessed by the night (for a journey beyond)
