Visions of Collapse
Strewn amongst the stars Cataclysmic oblivion Endless planes of existence Above as below Concealed by the whim Of rampant, ceaseless chaos Black canopy above Lost travellers below Infinite creation Escapes the finite mind Glimpse eternity Deny humankind As insects crawl Upon the barren earth So too do I On all fours scrambling Through the night as vermin A stain on sacred ground To know the unknown - arrogant and ignorant To gaze on the heavens - blind and stumbling To conquer the bеast - weak and trembling To search for pеace - discontent and seething Traverse the banks of the spirit realm Wonder in awe at their grandeur Enraptured by the strength of totality The abyss swallows us whole Unencumbered by the weight Of banality and guise Submitting to the primal skies Casting corporeal mass Into frothing, endless expanse Relentlessly carried forth Eyes open wide Light streaming past Streaks of colour and life Phosphorescence darting Through this murky night As streaks of luminescence shines To behold splendor And deny the mundane Released to cold, eternal might Flashes coalesce Across my vision Stars above, light below

What remains but works Of earth pushed as pieces In a gambit unknown As galaxies gaze down and weep Torrents of dying nebulae On the worthlessness of it all A hail of destruction At which we stare in awe Struck in disbelief, paralyzed in ignorance Cathartic as conflagration descends To proselytize the ultimate truth The truth of this earth The truth of the stars Of the marrow, the cartilage, the flesh The iron, the bough, the loam The husk, the grist, the waste The microcosm, the outer spheres The truth of the earth The truth of the stars That the blight is written Into our cells Mapped to pale tendrils Embryonic, frail, inchoate Yet ever-blooming, every-devouring Ravenous to swallow the last star

Tear this broken, wretched form From the nether of compulsion See the husk you left, abandoned When the ether was long spent None of nature's grace remains Collapsing into the earth No warmth in this cold embrace Chills the bone and shattered spirit Take my breath, take my soul Inhale pain, doubt, and longing Lungs caving in, gasping desperately Feel the rush of the wind From across the churning sea Rip through this frail, spent body Consternation Desperation Futility Depravity The moment where I fade away Into a nihilistic haze Wretched hands, not my own Grasping a broken fucking chalice Insatiation Degradation Impulsivity Animosity Alone, adrift in timeless wanderings Carried through the stream Ceaseless chaos permeates my mind A mind that’s not my own Against the current of a calling voice A voice that's not my own Standing by while on the shores of time Forever wondering What life could be if not for this dream A frail, yearning call A frozen, aching heart Weak and trembling flesh Lofty vain ambition Steals our will and vision Our will and vision A hardened, steel mind Strong and proven flesh Action and resolve Prove our will and vision Our will and vision

Dark, despondent waters Sculpt and erode ancient stone Waves of rock emerge in their stead As is the grim certainty Of aching, grinding misery On this husk of ashen skin and weathered bones Disintegrating, darkened eyes Witness as the body dies Reduced and crumbling shards in the tide Torn from the foundation Raw impermanence exposed Shattered and broken No trace of what once was real Time etches away At the core of our souls No respite, no resolution Only fragments drifting Aimlessly

Where waves scale scarped pillars Fortifications forged In tempest and night’s high chorus Of howling winter wolves Withstanding until standing no longer Hewn into nothingness Called into the abyss The carving scythe - eternal as the tide How rains pierce and scar the skin As frail as parchment scraps Thrown to shearing winds To be woven into nests That yet are scattered among the litter Of lives shed as autumn leaves The carving scythe - stormswept branches in the nether The river swells with blood and ash Flotsam of centuries intermixed With rotted organs, forgotten strife Ephemeral words Forging ever-onward, all-consuming Gathered legends and weathered vessels The carving scythe - black waters cascade Listing into lightless chasms Stalking, reaping The sickle soars in steel skies Flanked by carrion feeders Cawing for the remnants Morsels left in the wake Of merciless death and decay Language lost; spirit discarded Just waiting to be carrion ourselves The flood will come in the end Undulating waves, submerging the sun Consciousness claimed By umbral veil By rapids flowing ever-outward Bereft, exiled, no future, no past Cast into suffering’s eclipse To bliss, non-existence To drift for eternity
