These Nameless Worlds
Silent, a phantom displaced In vacuum's embrace Unseen and unfamiliar skies A universe unrecognized Extinct, the heavens of home An abdicated astral throne Unfixed, at the mercy of time Cruel celestial pantomime Strange new suns, futile astrogation Cast away, no hope for salvation Into the unknown at full acceleration Sailing beneath unmapped constellations To explore these nameless worlds My heart alight, my mind aswirl Long afloat in void divine Still I mourn for all that's left behind

Now I close these eyes one final time And sing my farewell to lonesome skies The stars still turn, the stars still shine But my heart is old, worn and malign All I have seen, all I have felt The galaxy is nought but an empty hell Mindless spacetime, heartless tableaux I yearn for oblivion and so I go To sleep And dream Hopeless, homeless, coldness Weightless, ageless, aimless Hopeless, homeless, searing coldness Dreams of sunlit clear blue skies Weightless, ageless, ever aimless Drifting through eternal night Endless heartache, senses ablate A weary mind and tired soul So I escape to bright dreamscapes Where I seek some sweet repose Somnolent, discontent, temporal transient Still breathing but I ask 'wherefore'? Now to hibernate, slumber, self-negate One last glance and glimpse before I sleep And dream

So far now, jaded and scarred So alone now, here between the stars So dark now, devoid of light Stargazing in abyssal night Light-years from home Amidst the unknown So cold inside So dark outside Saturnine and suffering Time-dilated slumbering Subjective being Millennia of dreaming Ancient, afflicted, broken, decayed Hostile, deranged, hateful, insane So fast now, infinite weight So vast now, the future to create What's left now? Nothing more than this Stargazing in the abyss God of all but king of no one God of all but king of none
