Of Longing Spirit and Infinite Solitude

Old and lifeless skies Cold and black is the night Vast silence abounds Here in emptiness drowned Scream into darkness No one there to hear us No sign or echo So alone here below Stars uncountable Our hopes unfulfilled Ever lone and forlorn Dreams of equals, stillborn Cosmic silence - barren is the throne Aching absence - cursed and forever alone Long have we yearned for kindred minds elsewhere Long have we sought Nought to find but despair Ascending to the stars Down to earth we’ve cast god Masters of our fate Our longing spirit cries Wails beneath starry skies But all is empty space
