Death in the Nursery
We breathe the seeds of Heaven, yet the scent of Hell is sweet. We chant of God Immortal, yet we eat the Devil's meat. We think we have two choices, stay pure and you will see, that when you die it's over, at last you will be free. Because there are two kingdoms, a Heaven and a Hell. But fools, you cannot see it, this earth is Satan's well. We think we have two choices, stay pure and you will see, that when you die it's over, at last you will be free

The city lights, shine out in the pain, The fleeting shadows, shelter from the rain, And all this time, the warrior waits for death, The battle for survival, the prize to fight again. The crawling black, apartment blocks of fear, Blot out the evening, as if to hide a tear, Monsters of the asphalt escape into the dark, The warrior of instinct feels hunger drawing near. The fight exists for just a moment in time, The warrior dies, under a neon sign, And insects of the city, ignore the rivers of life, Worlds within worlds, horror of their own design.

We’re tired of all the foolish men, who weep away the days Complaining of society, that life no longer pays We’re tired of tribal prejudice, the vultures of the meek The eastern and the western, a forever hide and seek We’re tired of threatened holocaust, from sceptres of the rich The lucrative religions, each guru stakes his pitch We’re tired of life’s corruption, the politics of hate Ineffective politicians, controlling Europe’s fate We’re tired of mans naivety, pollution of the mind Destruction of resources, the burning of mankind We’re tired of careless parents, their task so soon neglected The children of tomorrow, life’s morals soon rejected

Woke up this morning, lying in bed. That lazy woman, still buzzed in my head. Why did she leave me, why did she go away, Without her here, I'm gonna go insane, Oh lazy woman, you are my night and my day, Oh lazy woman. I tried to give her all that I could, But all she wanted, was my life blood, She drained me dry, she took my very soul And now she's gone, life's just an empty hole, Here come the razor into the darkness I fall Oh lazy woman Now it's all over she won't come home, I killed myself for her, now I'm so alone I know that she won't cry, she doesn't feel any pain Why did she let me die, I'll never live again, It's all a joke to her, just some stupid game, Oh lazy woman.

While everyone is yearning, to seek the ancient learning. We stare into the darkness, of mankind in his sleep, They pray that they are righteous, but sadly they all lie to us. And the solitary preacher, ignores them as they weep, He looks down from his vantage point, the rich man's head they now anoint, And he teaches them the meaning, of people dying for a cause. He leads the blind to battle, like herds of holy cattle, And he watches from a distance, as they play their games of war. Father of the night, unleash the seeds of hate, Be watchful for the morning, for there is no time to waste. The kiss of pride excites you, in rows of crimson stone. The kiss of life deceives you, too long to be alone. Why don't you kill me, why don't you kill me. At dusk he waits in silence, preparing for the night. Draining off his memories to train his heart to fight Searching for a reason, he plays the game so well. Waiting for an answer, he raps the gates of hell. Why don't you kill me, why don't you kill me. And when the game is over, the loser pays his price. Gives man another reason to scream into the night. The lives that seem so empty, regret that they were born. The warrior holds his breath, as he watches for the dawn. Why don't you kill me, why don't you kill me.

Running forever in circles of hate, clinical bars keep us tight Hoping for fools to unleash us in haste, to prove to the world of their might Created to kill in obscene trails of pain, to blot out the source of the light A subtle but deadly supply on the wind, it gives them no reason to fight The island of death where we wait in the dark, injected with droplets of pain Lies quietly watching the homeland of fools, soon to revenge its disdain

When daylight splits the sky apart, and water burns the land, The time will come, at last for you, to unlock my weary hands, You said the moon will soon explode, raining flies of sweat, Not long now friend, you'll soon be free, but freedom’s not here yet. Rats will sing the day I'm free, and god will prune his tail, Boats will sink in fields of stone, lift up your blackened veil. Sheep of death howl out their call, my keeper’s here at last, But instead of keys he holds an axe, red blood it flows so fast.

Man is still a boyking, hiding from the truth Trying to create a dream, as if it's something new. Hiding in the corner, watching for revenge, Creep up on his brother, his envy now avenged. [Chorus]: Why could he not try to save the world Why could he not try to save the world Death in the nursery, death in the nursery, Death in the nursery. Choosing all his little toys from stockpiles in the west Throw them up into the air, discovering his quest Tantrums in their terror, a scream of silent tears, Tear his cousin limb from limb, the total of his years.
