The Rhythmus of Death Eternal
Once, when I was younger, I thought I saw a proud figure, Standing on the horizon, Way out in the peripheries, Beckoning Me. Arm stretched - finger pointed, Like a dagger, direct; Singing ‘Come, Brother, Join us’ That alluring melody, Echoed faintly, Almost forgotten, And buried by the banalities, Of the day to day. And with age, I feared I heard that familiar voice, Calling clearer on the winds, In frequency that cannot be mistaken, And tone that could not be misunderstood. With far greater certainty, Oft he visits, Like an unwanted guest, Standing in the corner of the room, Demanding, ‘Do not forget me’ Drunken with bloodlust, In perennial fashion, He exhausts time, Conquers will, Watches me wither, And writhe in tumult, And lo I readily accept, His endless monument, And become one with nothingness.

Where were you when the waters rose, When the torrents swallowed the limitless dead, Those who did nothing but exalt and sing of your praises - Who’d worshipped you blindly under the assumption of salvation? Where were you when the grounds shook, When the pillars fell & crushed the countless dead, Who’s devotion you’d mocked, And whose faith you’d betrayed? Where were you when the dogs of war barked their bark? When the blood of the innocents was spilled? And when the fog obscured the toll of The nameless dead who’d fought in your name? Where were you when the children starved? When their little bellies swelled, As the famines ravished, And when their will succumbed, To the inescapable void? Where were you when the plagues raged? When the streets were littered with the endless dead? Who’s bodies, crippled with disease Once yearned for cure? Where were you when our loved ones, In vain gasped their last breaths? Who’d writhed in pain & tumult, Who’d left our loving arms, Only to leave us in this wretched squalor? Ye, verily I say unto you That he betrays us & Whilst exceedingly sorrowful, And dared to ask unto him, ‘Is it you, lord?’

What great lengths man goes to, To elude his fate, To commandeer his dominion, And escape The Rhythmus Of Death, Eternal. He delves deep into his past, Commands at will his present, And projects himself into the future, To escape The Rhythmus of Death, Eternal. He distracts with achievement, He learns to move mountains, Soars higher than the eagles, and outruns the lions, All to escape The Rhythmus Of Death, Eternal. He manipulates matter, And marvels at his own creations, Creates Gods in his own image, To escape The Rhythmus of Death, Eternal. And when his time comes, Feeble and ill-prepared, He reaches out into the dark, Whilst clutching in desperation, To the chains that bound him, The hopes that drove him, And the love that nourished him, Reluctant and fearful, Embraces his fate, And returns to dust?

Kometen sind brennende Seelen, Die zur Strafe durch den Kosmos ziehen müßen. Comets are burning souls, That have to travel through the cosmos for punishment. Nothing disturbs this transcendental harmony The only light that breaks up darkness Are the burning red stars Cosmic winds bear a waft Of a gigantic psychic force That the nineth dimension (colossal deep universe) holds And opens for me Desolation in purest shape Neither melodies nor cries Resound in this cold silence Nevertheless I feel the endless echo of melancholy No mountain, no tree, no lake But an endless wasteland of stones and ice Forms this realm where no king was ever born Because no life exists which can be ruled Here is the destination of my astral journey The only place where I find peace So I leave the world behind And replace earthbound grey To interstellar black I leave the world behind!

I have paced these forests for so long I don't know if I am man or I am beast. I, though, hold deep within me a quest for revenge. Then I must be a man as much as I can be. I have learned to speak the tongue of the animal I have learned to read the signs in bark and snow. I have taken within myself the spirits of my fathers, long time gone. In this short time, far from home, a man of Iron I've grown. A man of Iron I have grown.
