Guess, I´m in big trouble now Newspapers tell you why I´m one who caused such grief When I made my family die Shot them down with a gun I bought near the liquor store Guy from the T.V. news is here He´s wondering what I did it for Their faces twist and turn as if in pain They look away from me as I explain You see I did the things I had to do (God told me to) He said that I had better follow through (God told me to) He guaranteed that he would save my soul (God told me so) And now I sit here in this padded room (God told me to) What is there to say to you now? What more can be said? I did what the lord told me to do Now Mom and Dad are dead My aunts and uncles come from all around They go on T.V. and they put me down They do not realize what I had to do (God told me to) They look at me as if I´ve gone insane (What did God say?) He said they´d probably lock me up for good (God said they would) And now I sit here in this padded room (God told me to) Why can´t they let me be Can´t they see? I did what I had to do When God issued his request I said: "Yes." Wouldn´t you?
