My Time Comes

When the dust settles And the curtain’s falling down Between this coil and the stars Who will remember? I bode my time freely As if to squander everything Now what worth am I? What worth am I? Weightless Worthless Staring into blackness I failed to find my way Careless Never Looking at the future I failed to find my way If I could make any difference at all For the broken ones that have nothing I’ve fulfilled my hope to this world I’ve fulfilled my hope to this world As my time comes, I can’t help but self deprecate for all of my inaction and the lost opportunities I’ve let slip through my fingers. All of the missed chances to lend my hand to those that are reaching. Will I leave this place tormented with that regret or is there still time for me? Now I close on my final hour Staring my fear in its horrid face I saw the mirror to my soul Now broken glass never to be whole I feel the anguish pull me down Memories choke me til I drown A body with worth and life Now decayed and wrapped in vines Weightless Worthless Staring into blackness I failed to find my way Careless Never Looking at the future I failed to find my way If I could make any difference at all For the broken ones that have nothing I’ve fulfilled my hope to this world I’ve fulfilled my hope to this world
