Awakened by fire and blade Our night has been betrayed Arise, take your sword We must fight of this horde Or you shall never see the new day I fight with steel at my side Many around me have died Many foes stand before me And my strength starts to fade I must run if I want to survive We kill and kill, it never ends To escape such a pain, few have done With west winds we went Much time had been spent But escaped we had, by rise of sun A once lost path now pulls us forward A cold wind blows in from the north Old Dwarven ruins cast shadows on the snow As the journey yet beckons us forth What strength I have left begins to drain The evening draws the sun away I tread swampy grounds The air, dead of sound I feel a magic telling me to stay We walk and walk it never ends Reflecting on lives left behind The day was now spent As west we still went Through marshlands and trodden ground Part way forward through a lowly moor I wisp away ever looking on My burden lifts and something under me Takes me higher than the tallest tree Walking on forever Went and never returned Effort is wasted On a soul that's broken
