The Inevitable
The shapes as you pass them slide into the distance. The speed of your craft holds you tight in your race. You wait for the moment to move in position as others shift down for the hell that awaits. Pushing the P.R.M.'s your engine is roaring. Climbing the mountain side 'til the peak sends you soaring. And so you'll drive into the sunset they say, or the story goes. Are you an ace or are you legend?. No one will ever know. Too late for the one who skids into a tailspin for there is no mercy in this race you see. The winner of this race is he who chooses wisely for he who chooses poorly is now history. Now you are driving into oblivion. And there you'll be forever more.

As the years now swiftly pass I know what lies ahead of me, the inevitable. Time has come to use these wings, fly to new horizons. When I leave this place I'll know I've lived and I have learned. I will bide my time. Time has come and time has gone, now I'll shed these wings, fly away. In the distance I hear voices from my past. Inside my head they come to haunt me. A gentle whisper tells me I must carry on. Carry on to fill the void. I now know when I awake at night the cries I hear, no one ever hears. And all along I've kept it all inside. The pain I feel, no one knows.

Time and place and space rearranged, I'm existing out of phase. People look and speak to me unaware of my imagery. Atoms floating yet contained in form, illusions that I'm whole and warm. Magnetic fields binding me, born without a symmetry. I can read one's beauty from silhouettes passing bye. A skill I've learned in jealousy with love's unrealized. No one knows I've lived a thousand years. No one notices I cast no shadow. That just goes to show we judge a book by it's own cover. Never listening to the words, never seeing what's in the man. Unexplained phenomenon or alternate dimensions, only walls seem to detect my biological infractions, Once you've lived a thousand years anonymous to spare their fears. You come to find that man can be oblivious to others needs. Even my loneliness surpasses physical law. I must be emanating subliminal withdrawal. No one knows I've lived a thousand years. No one notices I cast no shadow. That just goes to show we judge a book by it's own cover. Never listening to the words, never seeing what's in the man. The excerpts from this diary one hundred years ago, were written in ageless poetry and sung with haunting melody. These last lines were written before he faded and died. And as I read them profoundly, one soul for him did cry. "Some people reach for the light, but not I... for it passes right through me. Light only let's us see, and it's bound to make us blind."

I fight black & white wars with bloodless decors against Harvard and Oxford and Russian elite. And now I'm left my last man via the slip of my hand, or should I say my mind. I wonder. I've only 21 spaces to run from defeat across checkerboard squares, mathematical retreat. They treated my pawns like pawns. My castles crumbled at dawn. After hours of tension it's down to the chase, stalemate. Run king run, 21 run. Never look back and run king run, 21 run. Hells bells are ringing the start of my play, their sound gets sweeter the longer I stay. 15 & 14 & 13 I count, now a halo of angels has circled about. I see dusk, dawn, planning and plots, now I'm tired of running I'm tired of thoughts. To the borders I run, disarray has begun. My equations are useless and useless is logic now shun. Run king run, 21 run. Never look back and run king run, 21 run. I'm dodging the angels that pass through my space and watching the corners where horses do race. Their queen is like Medusa, I can't stand in her stare. This greatest of players is faced with despair. Undefeated I must maintain, fall to no man. Look for an answer in the opposing eyes. But no man graces the opposing side. Only lights blinking, circuits thinking. Now man kind rests on my shoulders. Will technology be taking us over. The 21 run's down to 1. How long can we hold it back? Run king run, 21 run. Never look back and run king run, 21 run.

So young am I, such power I guide the course of all man I am life I am death choose a side. So young am I, some say, to realize death and destruction, corruption true poverty's might. Who can pave my roads to justice? I know there's a soul among us. Work this land, foresight in hand, one my people demand shine. Lead us to light, stars, skies. Clear as the days when our minds saw the praise of hopes, dreams, love. Lead us through dark, cold nights. Peace be your guide and the world will survive on hopes, dreams, love. Lead us. New spirit I seek, revive the weak. Renew my symbol of strength for all history to keep. Tame the mistrust, make life from dust. My resource your wisdom is the key to a life we all lust. Souls search high for the heavens. Only those who believe are resurrected. Make them see my name still means that one and all can reach the stars and shine. Lead us to light, stars, skies. Clear as the days when our minds saw the praise of hopes, dreams, love. Lead us through dark, cold nights. Peace be your guide and the world will survive on hopes, dreams, love. Lead us. A world full of lies, dulls the red, white & blue in your eyes. That gray bearded man's not as weak as you think he will rise. So young am I but believe my cries. And when fate leads the calling make Destiny's Darling realize. That you'll be the one to take me higher. Warm my people with your fire. Make them believe, try and conceive that life still exists in my hands and I'll shine.

Listen, can you hear the wind of a falling star. Daylight, a raging sun through the trees beats down. Into the night ride the cold and fearless unto the culture of aimless nomads. Careless free will, learned through ancestral teachings. Wakened by spirits, redmen long ago. Foreign hands, ignorance and greed. Birds of a feather now are scattered but their hearts still beat as one. Integrate whiteman, hold out your hands. Let our bloods unite us all as one. Picture a headdress sewn through the sands of time. Captured upon my head shines its radiance. Quiet they listen for distant ground thunder. Keen senses all an in'jun must use. Blessed is he who can live off the cold baron wastelands. Waken thy spirits redman, it's you will. What are they, heroes or villains. Birds of a feather now are scattered but their hearts still beat as one. Integrate whiteman, hold out your hands. Let our bloods unite us all as one. Birds of a feather why can't we all pass the pipe, dance through the nigh. Across this great divide we learned you are the wise. Together we shall dance and the rains will cleanse us all.

When mood strikes you do you grab the chance and wonder of your circumstance. You sit there quite comfortable as your music gives you an earful. Peace as you well know, is in the ear of the beholder. Shhh, listen to the rain fall down. Is there anyone who believes in what you are doing. How can one honestly be so shallow. Shhh, listen to the rain fall down. Acceptance, exception to the rule. Discretion to those whom play the fool. Eventually the weak will believe, the last in line will stand by. On and on the strong stand on. The first in line will survive. Bright lights, center stage, you'll have your chance. No matter what it takes. Shhh, I can barely hear the rain. You'll stand there quite comfortable as your music gives them an earful. Now they all believe in what you are doing. Shhh, the rain has washed away. Acceptance, exception to the rule. Discretion on and on and on and on The weak are only fools.

Place the order disease or disorder, Dr. Bob will have a table for you. Trauma pending, slicing or mending, the art of heart is all in the school. Operation coronary is getting rather daring. Pressure dropping, pressure stopping. Resuscitate, resuscitate no one shall pass away. Another notch in your scalpel is made. Dr. Bob the Zorro of tomorrow, Dr. Bob a medical Van Gogh. Dr. God relieve my pain and sorrow, you're the only one I'll give my body to. Why must you never take a wife? Patients first now that's no life. Why don't you try a golfing day. You work too hard, enjoy your pay. Your oath makes you the martyr your ego drives you harder. No life you will be ending as long as you are mending. Dr. Bob the Zorro of tomorrow, Dr. Bob a medical Van Gogh. Dr. God relieve my pain and sorrow, you're the only one I'll give my body to. Dr. Bob I want to be like you.

We've always been lead to believe they come from the heavens. Who'd of thought there would be another world under the ocean. Some say there's only life, others say there's only death I say they're blind. The answer's plain to see, we all may hold the key in our mind. Our quest to go where no mans ever gone before. We seek the other life. I believe we've been held from the truth to keep us from panic. You may find Egypt holds all the clues that point to Atlantis. Are the light years ahead? Are we light years behind? It does not matter. Either way life will progress, all secrets will confess unto each other. Our quest to go where no mans ever gone before. We seek the other life. Life, world peace, high technology exists somewhere, but where nobody knows. Someplace there has to be a better race. Somewhere out there but will we ever know.
