We walk so silently, into the night We never see it coming, we are so blind The stream of life, is flowing like a flood And suddenly, we're traipsing through the blood Calm before the storm, is like a de-ja vu Feel the rush of blood, just before it exits you And you try to hold on but your time is fleeting, After all is said and done, it's death, whom you are meeting Why do we never care, until it's way too late Why do we waste our time, and play with fate And like the little children, never doing what we should Just playing with our lives, and traipsing through the blood We wander aimlessly, into a trap So oblivious, we go to hell and back And yes, there's a wake up call, but still we sleep So we say our prayers, but there is no soul left to keep We become the shell, of who we used to be Our blood is on the floor, but we fail to see Confusion grips each of us in the end And for our wicked ways, there's a price well pay, my friend Why do we never care, until it's way too late Why do we waste our time, and play with fate And like the innocent children. Who've turned to bad from good We're playing with our lives And traipsing through the blood So afraid, yet so naive, you say you do But you don't believe, as you walk through this world The blind who lead the blind You should have stayed behind We'd be better off alone, and in the cold... ...The blind leading the blind.... !!! We beg and plead, to try and save our lives, We act like fools, and try to close our eyes But now, we see our fate, it's there before us, Why didn't we listen. I try to see, with a wide open mind, imagination, so strong Lost in a world, of false perfection, where I'm always right, And you're always wrong... yeah, yeah... So if you make believe, if you close your eyes, if you fight your dreams If you close your mind... You can embrace, the boredom you create... Images quite horrible, reality... (so / quite) real, Lies or truth... Alone for eternity, one man, empty of sentiment, Wasted, years, of searching for paradise Dreams in vain, in tears and pain, I'm biding my time, Cautiously, wading, through, the sea, of ... Lies Misunderstood fool, scratching and clawing, At the bottom of their hearts, no reply... Misguided, dreamer, you said it yourself, in another verse, it just can't last It will never be, like...Yesterday again... Why don't you put, your wasted money, where your mouth used to be An echo of only one voice, bouncing off, the walls of this cavernous life No reply A bitter soul, that's been mislead, mistreated, mis-quoted, mis-judged But never missed, no way! Who cares for the dead or the soon to be? Who dares to stand besided this fool who believes That time heals, the scars of ignorance And who can see the beautiful vision of how, it might be, And again I ask... Who cares? ... He must have turned his cheek, at least a million times Society sees him as weak, a coward and his crimes He tried to keep it all inside. He turned his feelings off And then before he knew it, his innocence was gone He kept the darkside, inside, and now... It can not be denied, many nights and tears, he's Cried, now our eyes are opened wide, to the darkside, he kept inside... He was... Beat into submission, his turmoil deep within No one sees 'til it's too late, and he murders again Violence was a way of life, and now the way of his revenge Right before, our eyes, he hides, vowing to avenge He kept the darkside, inside, and now... He will not be denied, many nights and tears We've cried now your eyes are opened wide, to the darkside... Inside... I lie awake, my mind is racing, I start to shake, can't stop this feeling I am accused, I face the questions, and I will prove, that my innocence is true I lie awake... Another million nights have come and gone, And I blame you, I toss and turn, I lie awake and think it through... again tonight... And now I'm blind, from staring at the ceiling... I know in time, I will stop the bleeding... (but I still) play the fool, I am your clown... A puppet lives inside of me, when you're around I toss and turn again tonight... And I... This man that I've become, all grown up, and come undone The victims dying one by one, no place to hide... It's like I don't know who I am, I've lost my way, time and time again, Another child, whom god hath damned, the tears I've cried I find you any place, you hide, inside, I know you're terrified, I see you, see me, eyes are wide, your cries for help, always denied So where'd he go, your son, the one That we both used to know, the one, confused by all that is The one at fault for all of this, death is all around...
