The waves break Stripping cartilage Atlantic Pitched black sea Frayed dust In the constant moment Look away Brush past what's in front of you Hands over hand Interlaced Crushed keepsakes Are buried in my palm Trembling heart The steady hand Scarred over The unhealed wound Rehearse starless twilight Reversing out of a minute that's already passed Trembling corners of the room Keep secrets whispered to them Falling into a quiet, separation Curtains of light pick out snowfall Banding asphalt in pools of amber The path unravels as I match it's steps Despite the numbing of years I feel it in my marrow Vanishing They are excluded from heaven
