Knowing That You’re There

When I lie awake I think of you And I am overcome with emotion While thinking what to do The only thing I can provide to you Is guidance, and hope that you remain In this world you know You have your word That you would see things through Yes it's hard to see Through the clouds that fill the skies In the darkest times I can see the light is in your eyes Fight for your survival It takes all you have I'll welcome your arrival Back from the depths Life is fleeting It's not fair Though I feel better Just knowing that you're there
