Pitch black tides of fury lash against my eclipsed soul Silence dashed to pieces, evanescent tears I bleed Erasing all life, immersed in this burning black From darkest waters I soar, waiting to be revived Force me down-I rise above, carried by frigorific winds I fly towards the luminary, embraced by the breaking dawn Floating endlessly through measured time A deep burning thirst I feel inside Finally here … … run ashored in the yesteryears Shifting colours of flickering shades, masquerader of oblivion melting into muted dreams Withered fingers tear apart memories piece by piece A blind fury dissolving in euphoria Seraphic light illuminates the darkest hour, displacing the sombre infinity Mesmerized-I soak up the sun, and I grab hold of life Floating endlessly through measured time A deep burning thirst I feel inside Finally here … … run ashored in the yesteryears Go! Still I can hear the calling It makes me afraid, what will be? My fear has gone several ways, I'm sure I have not failed I see the world with different eyes Will I see (the) light of day again? All this pain now is mine, (this) is the awakening of a second life I tried to touch what I had seen When I travelled in my world of dreams I was never asked to be The horror begins far beyond belief When my mind falls asleep, In my dreams there's darkness so deep When I thought that's the end, My life returned with time to spend The only thought in my mind Is to leave my sorrows left behind There's nothing to see but so much to feel My soul was laid to rest It's me, the grotesque! The gates of hell are open wide, The smell of death comes from behind The path we ride is filled with hate, Believe me son, it's not too late!
