Cremation of a Seraph
Beyond the soil As the pyre glows blood-red Enshrouded in gold, with coins upon his eyes In mournful splendour, they bow before the shrine Anointed with vomit From the abomination's mouth Cremation of a Seraph The hungry flames will feast To grieve for centuries, in awe of mortality A fire diocese Embers of scorched idols The grandeur of the arcane herd is drowned in poisoned black fog Ascending to an ocean of sacred fire Becoming one with the fumes of incense and candles Their spirits crumble into the stench of loss Hear their crying chant resound from heaven Ashes rise to stain the morning gateways May the winds bear his dust into the sewers A hissing from the void Within the deepest night Eternally will flow Their tears
