This darkness insanity Always pacing towards the end Approaching the sear Sordidly burning the endings of nerves Unconscious divine The arrival of fates' grim, churning of dread The ending of bliss Emotions were blackened amidst the most trying of times Alone in the dark I sit with my fingers clawing, digging into my head Left with the memories that have haunted me now for a thousand nights Lashing of failures - a surging, contagious, anxious, beaten aura of loss All wonderment gone, nothing left of the spirit to die All blackness sustained Martyrdom in the mirrors reflection of loss So empty this shell This mortal coil in the last flickering arc Black is the stone that casts the darkest shadow Black is this day for another to wait The blackness sustains in this hollow as all thoughts converge A Parasitical threat, breeding unrest To get in line for the purge Unequivocal mind Body in wait for the atrocity Black is the stone It casts a colourless shadow Black is this day for another to wait Blackened the stone It holds the hopeless sorrow Black is this season for another to wait You were always there To cast the first and last stone Unrequited in the darkness of mind You were always there To cast the blackest stone Unrequited in the dark of mind

Fate has demanded the sentient To carve a piece in time All resistance is felt from the consciousness The constancy failing in jest Emptiness woven, I peer beyond the ending You're searching the darkened skies for signs of life, the sombre lie that has paralyzed As memories flash with searing pain The echoing of death winds repeating again The vanishing point has been left in the wake of that year - the year that truly changed it all Forever changing all Levelling all defences down - I falter like withering leaves Clandestine grave of departed youth Body and soul set to the dying time Becoming one with the season - becoming the fall The honour - the martyr Made to never change Disengage the ending Laid to rest This pain seems never ending As you stare into the depths of my heart Do you see what you came looking for? For I am no longer there You'll find that existence is fleeting as you stare into the depths of my soul An existence withheld, for it was never there

Carrying the past in motionless trance as I grieve Invoking the void as I stand in burial reprieve Ascension of pacing descent - the all too familiar surrounding my needs A Fallensun flickers in tow, the shining recedes An egregious beckoning To the slab is a soul torn apart All thoughts travelling too far Clawing their way to the edge No solace is found within and beyond the grave The light becomes dimmer inside, in an altered life Feeling the shiver of death in life, the eyes becoming more blank with time Reckoning draws to a close, compressing all frailty into a vice No lost cause for the broken Pain for healing the pain Reaching out has become all mundane Still the drowning in shallows, reaching an elegy's end Reborn futility in martyred rebirth Oh, how the light used to shine Oh, how the voice used to sing Oh, how the reality of death was nowhere to find I still long for change I still long for warmth I still long to grasp those who blessed us with their glowing presence I see fate's warning in shadows As I reach the elegy's end I hear reckoning following behind
