Once they told a strange legend<br/> that our Mother Earth<br/> only was the egg of a mighty bird.<br/> Living in the eternal cosmos<br/> with eyes like glowing fire<br/> waiting for the day the egg would burst.<br/> <br/> But no one thought this tale was true<br/> that the day would come<br/> when the hellish brood would blast the world.<br/> <br/> But when the earth was plagued by<br/> earthquakes<br/> the last doubts faded away<br/> that the time of birth was finally near.<br/> <br/> Their minds were caught by anxious feelings<br/> the monstrous bird was coming<br/> and all the time of birth was coming<br/> and all the days and nights they watched<br/> the sky.<br/> <br/> Then one day a mighty figure<br/> was darkening the sunlight<br/> the bird Tharsis was hovering over the world.<br/> <br/> A roaring sound is getting nearer<br/> Tharsis' appearance moves the space.<br/> <br/> Sunset comes its shadows moving<br/> irresistibly to the earth.<br/> <br/> Shall this hellish brood<br/> destroy our world?<br/> <br/> See this hellish brood<br/> Tharsis Tharsis.<br/> <br/> The shadow overturn the nature<br/> the mighty time has lost its worth.<br/> Day and night associate<br/> an endless night surrounds the world.<br/> <br/> Shall this be the end?<br/> Damn this hellish brood.<br/> <br/> See the mighty bird<br/> Tharsis Tharsis.<br/> <br/> The Chief Expert of Atomic Research:<br/> Measurements have all just proves<br/> the brood has nearly grown up<br/> and sure is gonna hatch in seven days.<br/> <br/> Mankind:<br/> Damn the tale it's really true.<br/> <br/> We're so afraid of dying.<br/> Help us man, what are we gonna do?<br/> <br/> Chief Expert:<br/> We can try a last big thing<br/> and kill it by atomic fission,<br/> so dangerous but our last chance to survive.<br/> <br/> Mankind:<br/> Shall we risk it, shall we try it?<br/> Shall we live, shall we destroy it?<br/> (destroy it)<br/> It's our last chance, it's our last chance.<br/> <br/> Kill the beast, kill kill kill.<br/> <br/> Narrator:<br/> If they succeeded we don't know.<br/> If they were able just to blow<br/> the brood away and not our earth.<br/> <br/> And if they did what would have done<br/> the space bird Tharsis whose little son<br/> they killed as if he had been worth<br/> less than mankind?
