Behold, the last stand of the righteous As sea of sword and spear comes crashing down upon us Our wall are falling down around us, we're over run But if I must travel to the afterlife it won't be alone There numbers increase with every strike, we're back to back And now they mass for there final attack Come on then, face me, try and end my life Let me show you how a true son of Ireland dies! We came this far together, Not knowing if the end of our journey still stood. As the ground gave way, the clouds came down around us, We stood in fields of flames, still screaming our defiance. While the ashes smoldered on, the end of all things, Our chance of peace and hope, got swallowed by the dark. We roared with thunder, we ran with lighting, We smashed our fists upon black flame, with the hope to leave a mark. As unchained wolves and demon howls, scream across the horizon, we were the only two, who held our lines, with our spears dug in the ground. And when you broke my heart, you broke it into pieces, reminding me, I'm not made of stone. Don't ask me what kept me fighting, ask yourself why you don't. Our retreat has been compromised, our defiance have been scattered. We fought through black hordes with the hope we would out last them. The worlds a funeral piper, through blood stained fields we travelled. I'll fight time itself, and see how much I can borrow. And I'm still standing here, like I promise you I would be. Standing through it all, with no gods above, or no strength in symbols. Not to roll, with the tide, but to become its tamer. I will go down with this ship, and watch the rising water.

Deep in the woods, at a lakeside cottage Torches appear, and words of malice The simple mind of the Preacher, calls for blood They set fire to her thatched roof, and kick in her door They beat her down, chain her up and spit on her They drag her to the court house, on bloody knees This helpless frighten girl, cry's and screams for mercy On there steeple the accusing council names this "Whore of Satan" guilty She screams in horror "I'm a simple healer, how could you's do this to me?" On a torch lit hill, over looking the town They pin her to a stack, and tie her down They stack firewood and kindling To a hate filled mob of men, women, and Children The preacher walks up and takes the stand With empty eyes, and flame in hand "Your earthly form is damned But to save your soul, our lord, will see you burn."

I never thought we would get this far I thought the evils would out last us I thought you would be bored of me by now And I also feared for my own weakness But here we are now, like the ocean Never fading, or coroding As the water rose and gathered up around us We couldn't let go, and stop ourself's from drowing I was trying to defend myself, now another man leys dead Holding you now my love, I feeling nothing but regret The ship is prepered and waits for me I must forever leave my land and kin They'll be here by night fall, and shadow have began to lenghten Take my hand and stay with me We can walk as far as we can see We can spend our hole life's searching Where are better times will be If you would but hold me now I would hole you back Until the stars burn out But if we do they will always hunt us We would know a life with out peace Sleeping all our days, with our neck across the blade My love, I must leave these shores It's the only way, that you'll stay safe I'll be forever haunted by, this look upon our face The soldiers are fast approaching I don't think I can go I would face their wrath, before I'll face the the ocean Before I could ever let you go I can't face a life with out you I'd rather face the great unknown We'll stay right here, till the stars burn out And haunt these shores, as ghosts
