Borrowed Waters
How much of us is borrowed time? How much of us is earth and sky? How much of us is human being? Carved by rivers, shaped by streams So let us flow, let us fade In borrowed waters, life is made Tides may shift and bones may wane Those waters they remember our names The rain becomes a lover's sigh A teardrop falling, then it flies A love that gives, a love that takes A burst of water mimicking life And when the rivers cease to sing Our hearts will break, and tears will sting But in the end we'll come to know It was only borrowed after all So let us flow, let us fade In borrowed waters, life is made Tides may shift and bones may wane Those waters they remember our names So let us flow, let us fade In borrowed waters, life is made Tides may shift and bones may wane Those waters they remember our names

Today I start my ride To where I've never been A spark of pure rebellion My heartbeat is pounding! I'm leaving now this path to explore my inner light In the darkness of the night, I'll discover what is right I hear the eagle crying, it calls me to the sky So now I will stop lying to myself and fly! Dancing with the shadows Singing to the rain Screaming in the silence The melody that will remain The world is just a stage And I've been playing roles But now I crave to feel alive My heartbeat is pounding! Dancing with the shadows Singing to the rain Screaming in the silence The melody that will remain I've shed the mask that kept me down Now I am free to wear my crown No longer I stay under From now on I'll be thunder

It started with a crack A splinter in my center Not thunder — but longing And as a rib unfurled A bird landed in my chest And called it a heart I'm not blooming No I am breaking — Yeah! And it sounds like a song If you're listening close The blood in my veins Was never mine alone Carried sky, carried ash Carried every name I knew The blood in my veins Was never mine alone Carried soil, carried song Carried every root of home Home The leaves I once wore Like crowns, now wilt at my feet I trade green for blood And it stains me beautiful What a curious thing What a lovely spin And then you touched me Soft as moss And I knew Why we choose To be soft Even when it hurts I'm not blooming No I am breaking — Yeah! And it sounds like a song If you're listening close The blood in my veins Was never mine alone Carried sky, carried ash Carried every name I knew The blood in my veins Was never mine alone Carried soil, carried song Carried every root of home Carried every root of home They call me alive But life comes with hunger Desire feels like fire Licking the bark from my bones I kissed someone And I understood the reason Why trees reach And why they never ever stop I touch my face A foreign name A forest buried in bones I realise It's all the same And feeling is louder Than rain on leaves I'm not blooming No I am breaking — Yeah! And it sounds like a song If you're listening close The blood in my veins Was never mine alone Carried sky, carried ash Carried every name I knew The blood in my veins Was never mine alone Carried soil, carried song Carried every root of home The blood in my veins Was never mine alone Carried sky, carried ash Carried every name I knew The blood in my veins Was never mine alone Carried soil, carried song Carried every root of home
