Reignstorm

You cast a shadow on the earth (A new born day is dying) Blacked out the sun, destroy the mirth (A million voices crying) Descend on valleys cold & grey (Shroud the earth with grey) You appear in silence, here you stay (No warmth in your embrace) Your silence hides the rage inside (So peaceful yet so cold) Your restlessness no longer hides (Your writhing breaks, behold) Body transforms when with cold collides (See the change inside) Releasing the tears from deep inside (Torrential tears you cry) Mute my screams with thunder Wash my mind with rain Blind my eyes with lightning In this Reignstorm, drown the pain In the early hours The howling winds foretell Horses buck with fear for Storm in the air they smell As the clouds draw closer Snuffing out the light Dark electric anger Hides the sun from sight Peaceful sound of thunder Soothes incessant pain It is here I slumber In amongst the rain In this freezing downpour Floods drown all in sight Swamping all of mankind Inundating might Waves lash out with anger And swallows distant shores Tides engulf the coastline Existence is no more – NO MORE! Mute my screams with thunder Wash my mind with rain Blind my eyes with lightning In this Reignstorm, drown the pain.
