In a waterside village In the heat of July A man and his wife settled down for the night In the morning, he woke to a horrible sight It's all just so tragic, an unusual case The violent result of a fatal mistake How can he be to blame? He was never awake Wake up! What have I done? I was dead asleep Wake up! Can you send someone? I'm not insane, I was dead asleep Scrambling in the darkness, in fear for his life Certain a killer broke in He fumbles for a weapon, reaches for a knife A sleepwalking murder begins It was a vivid encounter, a realistic fight And now he's got blood on his hands He stands over the body, sees it's his wife A nightmare he can't understand I must confess it was me I needed to silence the screams She suffered a brutal attack A shockingly violent act Wake up! What have I done? I was dead asleep Wake up! Can you send someone? I'm not insane, I was dead asleep Out of my mind, out of my body Someone's been killed, I am sorry Out of control, all out of answers Maybe one day you'll forgive me Wake up! What have I done? I was dead asleep I must have been dreaming, I have no memory of anything We strongly suspect you're feeling a sense of despair No one knows of the guilt that you bear In the eyes of the law, you are free You are innocent

Worn down wearing thin Hellish dreams Tormenting scenes Shadows looming I'm paralyzed, can't move Scared and confused If I If I could bend the clock The passageway of time Leave it all behind No more No more paralyzing dreams The midnight screams Always haunting me But I sink deeper each day Cold, hallowed place Dark shadows Vast haunting landscapes In a frantic state Tired of feeling lost Alone and out of place This circle I can't break Every night Lie comatose But wide awake I'm paralyzed again Darkness creeping in If I If I could bend the clock The passageway of time Leave it all behind No more No more paralyzing dreams The midnight screams Always haunting me But I sink further today The witching hour begins Can't escape I find myself again Prisoner in the end Sinking further than I've ever been And if I If I could bend the clock The passageway of time A better place I'd find And no more No more paralyzing dreams The midnight screams Break this hold on me But I can't get away Can't find my way Sinking further every day

A frightened child Pulls his blanket overhead His mind runs wild Amidst the silence He can feel his stare Intruder in the room But no one's there He could hardly move Frozen like a stone This is more than just a terrifying dream The shadow's always watching Embrace the shadow! She's half asleep Bedroom window open wide Can hardly breathe As a figure creeps inside She sees no face An expressionless black hole She's too afraid to run or speak or hide Can he peer into her soul? This is more than just a terrifying dream The shadow's always watching Standing at seven feet tall he's a sight to behold Tales of the man in the hat surfaced centuries ago Wearing a flowing black cloak and a watch on a chain He stands in the corner in darkness as you go insane Fighting for breath as the incubus sits on your chest The night demon waits as you dream, standing over your bed Night, it will be forever changed Will the shadow be revealed? Can we ever know his name? Endless night Not a soul will hear you scream And you never will escape From the devil in your dreams Endless night Endless night The vision that lives off your fear Making you panic and sweat He hides in the mist, but does he exist? A stranger you'll never forget He waits at the end of the hall A presence you cannot explain One minute he's there Turn your back then he's gone You'd better pray He never calls out your name Night, it will be forever changed Will the shadow be revealed? Can we ever know his name? Endless night Not a soul will hear you scream And you never will escape From the devil in your dreams Endless night Endless night Endless night Terrifying nightmares shared around the world Stories of a faceless man Who goes by many names And traps us in his fearful gaze A stranger in the mist In the darkness of the night Who leaves us paralyzed As you fall asleep Better keep a watchful eye And maybe leave a light on tonight Wake up Wake up Wake up Wake up Wake up!
