It’s all a symptom of our greed, we plan our lives around our needs. Turn our backs on those we view as weak, there’s no belief, integrity. Caught in the grip of corporate fear, it’s just a symptom of today. Conditioned mentally to feel no fucking shame, just shut your mouth and live your life. Who really cares as long as some cunt’s getting paid, get fucked that’s just the English way. Lifestyle victims, prisoners of despair. Dependant on this source of thought control. Deception feeds the suffering, a sickness deep inside the soul. Control, manipulation, leaves you in the cold. The years rush by as time eludes, your mind another place like hell. Giving up again coz life’s too short, too short to breathe. There’s no elation, just dissociation, a numbness and silence that calms. Escape from temptation, a need for cessation, it’s killing me deeper inside. Fear of the future and fear of a new life, just drives it all back to the start. Conviction fades away again, it’s just the way you see yourself, that’s not the general view. Build a wall of arrogance, hide away the truth. Turn your back and truly walk away, takes all your strength. Shit situation, the loss of sensation, there’s nowhere to run from yourself. Drown out the chaos, to focus on one thought, but everything gets in the way. I’m done, fuck the world, a finger to it all. Look around, see the hate, it makes me want to fail. They promised no austerity, to build a better place to live. Just empty words to sway our trust, and lead us to another war. Thrown into greater debt and public services are getting worse. We’re paying more to live and getting even less back in return. It’s burning down again, those glory days are gone forever now. Ten years we’ll be third world if we don’t find the strength to stand our ground. Win votes with promises, then all we get is contradictions. Tell lies to win our trust, the memories are still fresh. They fight to keep our faith, we fail to see the contradictions. The truth is life’s not fair, a different rule for everyone. They promised change and did nothing, just made things worse for you and me. Now we all must pay the price, and lose the freedom in our lives. Why would the policy change? Society is structured for the rich. Desperate in times of chaos but now we see the other side of this. Dragged down reduced to nothing, we try to find a means a way to live. Existence ain’t a lifestyle, no quality just living to survive. So what’s the point in all the suffering? Another failure for the human race. As nothing changes it’s just getting worse, but still we’re told this is democracy. Time marches on, but the world stays the same. We’re controlled, we’re held down, own opinions are swayed, sell you a dream that ain’t real just a lie. The fact is you live just to work till you die.
