Minds of Dust

It is useless It is futile They cannot understand Their universe is but a particle Their universe is but a wave The chosen one laughs On the edge of the well Its flimsy covering Ever untouched by their bastard knowledge Mocked by specks and space They write their names upon the stars Above their speck of dust An age will pass, the names will change What language do the stars speak? What names have they given themselves? Children of stars, they cannot know Bound by questions they cannot ask Bound by forces they cannot change Eternal hymns become cosmic dust They cannot understand What they may call my eye Has only blinked
