This shelter, the two of us at rest At the center of all things Outside, as always, lies the cold of death’s solitude Each walks with a piece of black They carry all through the daylight Why are my children followed by darkness? Crowned with hate, baptized in rage Unleashed at last, this entity Slithers from a broken cage Moonscythe cuts the deepest lathe Paints shadows over landscapes Behind the sea in lands of sleep Lower than a handshake Raw hole, a thing of bone Emits a war-torn tone Black powder sonnets; a rallying cry Courage as a loan Skin as leather, etched in crust Iron will not rust No god nor beast will change That all there is will turn to dust Genocides of future and past united in this moment Reapers dance here at last Our defences have been stolen War is painted on the horizon, evisceration symphony From what hell comes this destruction Eons of malignancy Rip the sky, crack the skull Mercury and sulphur Shrouded night of silver shine Mercury and sulphur
