Cries – a voice in search of freedom, but bound by the will Defeat – lifeless in the eyes, the lower self to kill Pierce – a stab at the sky, find the voice within Strength – Rise against the tide, make the Earth cave in Fear – of the consequence, to make the needed change Core – the center of your being, the hidden light engaged Taunt – brave the new element, pay disparage no mind Rise – from the dead land you’ve surmised, and pierce the sky!

Frustrated, perplexed, at the current world view Maligned, upset, as the straight becomes askew Knowledge so vast, yet we dive so deeper still Into the murk, and we’ve become the mentally ill OCD, ADHD quickly has become the norm Independent thought, so swiftly to conform Escape the real, dive into fantasy To live with eyes closed, unfurled heresy Worlds apart, or are you just like me? Contempt for all, to be or not be Or is there hope? Will we find a cure? Paths aligned, trails beyond the blur Why? Is the question now? Or has it always been? Is the answer clear? Or will we live our life so full of Angst? The hate, the love, and all that’s in between The fault, the blame, mirroring the obscene The core, the source, of the blinding rage Power corrupt, weighing out the wage Lies, deceit, a leering at the past The more we look the fire in the cast The wheat, the chaff chocking out the seed Clearing out, the world in desperate need! Why? Is the question now? Or has it always been? Is the answer clear? Or will we live our life so full of Angst?

Withdrawn from the mission, I strive to feed the next breath With no act of indiscretion, the plot of a nervous death I saw where my eyes led me, the mind won’t stop turning Pluck it out so I cannot see, the mind won’t stop burning I need to detox! – Unlearn the old way! Weightless and without form, sometimes I feel like this existence is trying me, failing me, a thoughtless path that’s killing me slowly. There has to be some way to crawl away from the mundane, to start again, be born again, and dare to live without compromise or conform I close my eyes, I see myself for that, what I’ve become, a selfish man, a pitied man, trying to please the world and myself. I’m tired of hearing and seeing death counts The passing of another friend. The clock is ticking, the pendulum swinging Worried hearts wonder for their end They’re running to Doctors or the Medicine Men Looking for the wonder cure To heal their bodies or to lose their minds The clearing of a vision blurred… Ain’t it funny how the living coffins called home Make us feel safe and secure We hide from families, the neighbors and pets And make friends with the computer We Twit and Facebook our lives on a screen Past friends and memories relived I would hate to come to the end of my life And realize I had not lived… You’re passing – Just living like a dead man You’re passing – Just letting life pass you by You’re passing – Make a change, make the best move You’re passing – Just letting life pass you by… Take a swim in the ocean, feel the depth all around you Take a walk and see the strangers’ eyes are really yours! It’s snowing outside the rumbling sound Of engines roar in the night The mission is near the confident men Are waiting to drop from the sky The blizzard goes on but still they must fly No one should go where eagles dare Bavarian alps that lay all around They seem to stare from below The enemy lines a long time passed Are lying deep in the snow Into the night they fall through the sky No one should fly where eagles dare They’re closing in the fortress is near It’s standing high in the sky The cable car’s the only way in It’s really impossible to climb They make their way but maybe too late They’ve got to try to save the day The panicking cries the roaring of guns Are echoing all round the valley The mission complete the make to escape Away from the eagles nest They dared to go where no one would try They chose to fly where eagles dare
