He felt there were devils, demons and such It all seemed surreal in his mind He laid down his head and fell into bed His hands laid over his eyes As the little boy tried to not think of death He slowly turned to the tombs The ones in the field full of the dead That he gazed at from his room Something is out there! The tombstones and nightmares The fear of the dead is stronger tonight Yes the boy was obsessed by the crypt on the hill As it stirred in his soul so it seemed Intriguing his mind at what was inside The fear of his childhood dreams? For back in the fields nearing the woods The graveyard always in view Out of his window he peered into death At places where horror did loom The nightmares a shock of fear his nerves they now unfold The dead are out there Let every fear explode, EXPLODE! The frenzy a taste of doom it pulls him into spell The dreadful terror Imagination hell, HIS HELL! In instance he woke from out of the doom By something so real in the night It made his skin crawl and dance on his bones His blood was turning to ice... But what were these cries in the night? The next day in the paper he read of a man Buried alive in the night Locked in a grave alone without air He screamed and screamed for his life!
