Reduced to a Whisper

To breathe without care, to think and not see The tears will dry on my face, and my heart will cease to beat A thread of hope consumes my thoughts, stringing me along But shredding my dreams My heart will bleed My eyes shall run Continuing to believe in this existence The thinner the thread, the longer I've bled and the more I'm soaked in the blood, the stronger my tears become An obstruction of my eyes caves my insides I cup my hands and cherish the past I can cling to a memory In my thoughts I can still touch you

My spirit continues walking through a playground of shadows I am the child who shivers, so afraid to face my failures Embracing care, believing in all, and watching my hopes fall Walking through wonder and wondering why A childhood turned to sand regress from eyes open wide Abandon what could become, crying for what has gone My chest is ripped wide open, and my heart spills to the ground You've cut my life away, do you like what you have found My tears continue screaming, the emotions will always be bound Could you ever forgive me turning away I still watch for you at the dawn of every day
